- The Nike Infinity Run 4 (or RN 4) is the first major update to the line, with an all-new midsole foam called ReactX being the headline change compared with the Infinity Run 3. This new foam is softer and returns more energy, but the new shoe is also a fair bit heavier than past editions. Jane and Nick have been out for their first runs in the shoe and give their early impressions here.

Hello welcome to the run testers my name is Nick and this it the review of the Nike Infinity Run 4.
So the Puma Velocity Nitro 2 is great daily trainer suficiently cushioned to get you up to the half marathon…
I just picked these up and went for a run tonight- very nice easy run shoe. I did go half a size up from what I usually wear.
It reminds me of the UA Velociti in appearance
I feel like this review justifies my recent purchases of a handful of infinity 3’s (which I and my narrow feet love).
the three is way better I tried these on today and ended up going with the ASIC GEL NIMBUS 25 its by no means a better looking shoe but was definitely way more comfortable!!. also my Nike invincible run 3s were also more comfortable not the upper but definitely the mid.
I love mine ! just got them and they fit great !
This will make a great casual shoe.
i am a daily jogger with my infinity 4 and for its nice and comfort especially when i ran 20kph straight for 4 kilometers.
Since it is a heavy high cushioning shoes, I wonder if it would compare with the Adidas SolarGlide 6 ? Both have great stability for a safety long run in slow speeds.
I have the infinity 3 and I view it as more a daily trainer - not super cushioned but enough where if you are doing easy to moderate pace it's fine. I did order the Infinity 4, but I haven't received them yet. I'm hoping those can be my tempo running shoe.
Infinity 3 are superior and underrated shoes. Took for an 18 miler and felt so smooth. Even better than brooks Hyperion max
Thanks for the review.
I have an Infinity React FK 3 (which I do enjoy and really feels stable) and curious enough it has a heel pull tab.
U have the upgraded version of it. For some reason they upgraded it in middle of it’s lifetime, which I do think is better than the original
I really dont get why they discontinued the epic react/ react 2. its still the best design, best light upper. they could've just updated the foam.
I put this on this afternoon and was so disappointed I didn't buy them Instead I bought the Asic Gel Nimbus 25 way more comfortable. The Nike however was a way better looking shoe but my feet are NOT into aesthetics anymore !!!!!
Yeah, I agreee. Been wearing them since the INFINITY REACTS. Finally, ending it on the FK3s. The 1st ones were very snug on the forefoot. Since the 2 and 3s. just got way better in design and comfort. The ride was the same. STABLE. At this point all I can do is stock up on the FK3.
This. Epic react 2 was the best Nike shoe ever made.
@@Interloper322finally someone said this!!
I agree! The best two versions, I still wear them!
I enjoy your reviews but the audio quality is just not up to the mark and sounds like a recording with a laptop mic. Could you plz use an external mic maybe for future videos? Thanks for the great content.
The Nike release I’m genuinely most excited about is the Ultrafly. I hope you get some in to review.
me too I can't wait!!!!
They should just retro the epic react and be done with line. Or low top the gt jump 2 from the b ball line. Whats with nike just adding weight to everything apart from the vapor/alpha
Even they gained some weight 😂
Have felt them in hand. I personally think it’s the best looking infinity run. I’m not a runner and into casual use. Have felt them in hand and They’re noticeably squishier than the 3s but the weight is definitely noticeable. Gonna try them on in the coming day but honestly excited for the shoe.
You shouldn’t be wearing these with jeans lol 😂
@@bradleyapps2304 supposed to say “in hand”

Nice review ! Nick, Could you please share the model name of your Oakley specs frame 🙏 ?
Thanks! It’s the Ojector frame
@@TheRunTesters Thanks !
I tried on this react 4 and the nimbus gel 25, I bought the Nimbus gel 25 because the Nike react 4 was lacking in the good stuff under the front of the foot and under toes almost like no padding at all. Now I did feel the good stuff from the middle of the foot back to the hill. I think they skimped on the react x foam in the front of the shoe, therefore I bought the Asic Nimbus Gel 25 it was very comfortable way better than this react 4. I really wanted the React 4 shoe it was very nice looking but my feet need cushioning not aesthetics !!! Nike please revamp this shoe with way more cushion or REACT X under the entire foot feels like you left out from the middle of my foot to the front. I did however love the feel of the Reactx foam felt really good, not as good as the zoomx but still very nice!
I have the same story except I wanted the invincible 3s and ended up with the gel nimbus 25s.
Oh no! I love the Infinity Run 3, they are my favorite road shoe. I don’t like the new changes, heavy, loosing rocker feel, and not as responsive. 😢
Are these true to size? I'm size 9 with a high arch and wide feet, should I size up?
Think Nike have snookered themselves with foams clearly zoom x is light and amazing but they don’t seem to want to drop it down to other models. If they adopted more of the half and half approach like puma and adidas. Could have zoom x at the front and ready at the back to lighten the shoes. And drop the knit obsession , turbo 2 was the blueprint for me stick to that formula
I still wear the first version, and there are exactly zero similarities... 😮
I picked up a pair of these at Dick’s as my first “running” shoe. Honestly they get a bad rap. They fit my foot profile well and for someone who is just building a base and won’t notice a little extra weight, these are great! I expect to grow out of their usefulness rather quickly, but I still plan on getting my money’s worth, probably 4-500 km. Plus I figure when I get the next pair, I’ll get an instant boost haha
Just got us 12.5 but have to exchange for 13s . 12.5 very little room at the toe.
Has anyone tried the gore Tex version?
What in the world was Nike thinking with the weight gain? The Infinity is already somewhat out-of-place with the lineup of daily runners from Nike, you'd think if they were going to change anything, they'd make the shoe lighter. Other than the small price difference, why would anyone get this over the Invincible 3?
I'm wondering why Nike is phasing out the fly knit upper, cos I find it very airy and good for ventilation, while it holds your feet snug like a sock.
I'm always confused why beginners would benefit from heel cushioning, doesn't that just transfer the force on landing to the knees/hips, leading to injury down the line? I've worked on landing my foot under my hip and have been injury free since but used to be plagued by niggles
I got these for 80 dollars so I think that’s a win🎉
I wonder if the Saucony Triumph 21 vs Infinity Run 4 would be a good match up
Triumph blows infinity out of the water
@@jaredbell7879 oh wow, will definitely look at the Triumph next. Thanks
Should we expect significant price drop on previous model very soon?
Yes
$79 on the Nike app
Loved my infinity run 3 as a commuter to gym shoe. The upper is still the best Flyknit has to offer. Why did they change it for worse is beyond me! And whats up with the weight gain! Totally unacceptable.
Nike are nerfing all their running shoes one at a time
@@liquorinthefrontpokerinthe3881 at least now we can stock up on previous models in Nike Outlets. Infinity 3s have been heavily discounted these past months too.
How do we pronounce Nike?
sounds like a great walking shoe
I would choose clifton 9 for that instead
Looks beautiful, but the incessant weight gain is hard to comprehend from Nike.
That’s Nike, looks good but isn’t good lol.
They messed the sole up. 3s are the most beautiful trainer I ever saw.
Hmm I mean.. it LOOKs good 😅
So... the only selling point is the new midsole; which doesnt do what it should do.
1
Another Nike L😭 still losing to the invincible. Vaporfly and alphafly weren’t even updated. SMH 😔
Just selling for the look thinking ur a runner when u should be running with solid brands like NB, saucony, hokas or asics. I can see yoga pants mums with money suiting up on all nikes rocking with this shoe to complete the fit getting all the attention 😂
Looking good is 30% of the race 😂😂💀
Why does nike keep making a shoe heavier which is one of the most important things for a running shoe
they expect runners to train like Goku with weights, then raceday use Vapor/Alpha/Streakfly lightweight shoe 🤔
Ahh I see. I guess nike is playing chess while I'm playing checkers
The weight gain is so that new people who come to the sport think that’s the norm and when they release the fifth version with a weight reduction, people will jump on it
We do our countries refuse to call Adidas and Nike by their actual pronunciations? It’s never made sense to me.
This is the ugliest shoe i have seen in a while
Seems like a failed product
the new design looks so ugly, they already have high heel in zoomx models
How can reviewers still mispronounce "Nike"?
Legit worst shoe I have ever tried on or worn. I love the other versions. The upper is just trash and fits horribly.
Not even going to entertain it. Way too heavy to run in. It's definitely a 👎 for me.
These things are awful. Dreadful to handle, foam is incredibly poor.
These are for walking around, not for runners.
