Why don't you use any AO in your terrain textures? PBR isn't foolproof, you still need to multiply in AO or it looks like flat garbage
Checked looks nicer than all the units in the game. Imagine if they changed the character model and went for an animal themed rts. I bet the game would look way better, same unit abilities but they are chickens, crabs, pigs and etc.
Sorry i wasn't a supporter irl life got in the way but i will be buying stormgate once its released

@@scizorzzzit's part of the kickstarter/steam bundle you fool. They already had chicken asset place holders for creep camps. It's no different than the wild life in warcraft.
It's literally a leftover placeholder asset that people begged them to be implemented in a more permanent way, I don't imagine the 30 minutes (max) spent coding it to randoml patrol the base made a huge impact on the budget
