Can you tell me what spn 4358 fmi 4 is on a 2014 Cascadia with a dd15?
Those harnesses have a high failure rate, changed a bunch of them and usually fixes the issue.

Assuming corrosion is nasty. Would dialectic grease in plugs help in future.
I have a fleet of 2022 Thomas buses with the DD5 engine. Would this be the same one box system. I have one bus throwing these codes.

Thanks for the informative videos as always Ryan. If you have time I have a question concerning my DPF filter. How often or when should I consider having it cleaned or replaced? I haven't had any issues with it but my truck has 580,000 mles 90,000 since I bought it.

@@tommyk9844 when you first get a code for regen complete but insuffcient, or you have some time off, when you have the cost of the repairs, if your going to pull it off and do the cleaning at a place that blows it out run a regen before you remove it,
@Tommy K hey with your truck do you have a apu on truck and do you idle a little higher when park? Im asking because i seen a video where guy said if truck idles regular for long periods of time you get build up in filter faster than setting truck to idle higher. Asking cause i have notice that i see a lot of videos about these def systems but only seen that one videos talking about that but also notice when people do regens trucks idle high for a period of time.
@@shameek419 I have APU, very little idle time
It's called an overlay harness and yes they do go out all the time but you can never ever just assume it's that harness just cuz you've got codes for the one box you need to do your due diligence as a mechanic and properly trouble shoot the fault codes with the fault symptom tree ... don't ever just think it's that harness take a peak at the harness and if it's something obvious like this guy is working with then yes but you gotta check it properly or your just a parts changer

Both engines are good! I personally still prefer Cummins for easier parts access

I have the same issue. Unfortunately, no one knows why I have the code . The trucks runs fine and I just have my 1 box replaced couple days ago. Let me know if you ever figure that issue out. Thank you
I have the same issue, dealer wants me to replace the one box 😢 $13k. If like to troubleshoot it first.
How much for a rebuilt for a dd13
We currently do not offer engine rebuilt, because we only have one bay shop. We will offer the service in early Summer when we access a bigger shop.
Derate issue. Changed one box. Worked for 6 weeks and went back into derate. Changed MCM made it worse. Any suggestions?
