The longer I live the more it hits me how important to the world Bob is ..and he died before I was born...I got to see family man's wailers a few years back and it was amazing...can only imagine how good it would have been had king Bob been there ..long live Bob and his message of peace n love and equality

I had to take some of my family members to Bob’s home and birthplace as well as the Tuff Gong studios for them to say that if it was not for my initiative, they would not have learned so much of Bob’s legacy.
You see, not everybody know what he did apart from the relationship to rasta and ganja.
You should also know that Jamaica has more churches for an island country than any other country in the world.
The rasta movement was frowned upon for a long time and ironically, it was not until after his death that we have this huge love for Bob Marley and what he stood for as well as still stands for in the eyes of many, not just Jamaicans.
As for baptism, it is religious thing you don’t joke with.
You don’t teach it. It is performed.

The impact and legacy that Bob left on this Earth in just 36 years is unbelievable. He impacted me so much I named my son “Marley” after him. And he changed the way I saw the world… with so much trouble in the world, we need more people listening to his music and learning his teachings. Can’t wait for the “Marley” biopic movie to come out in a couple weeks… it’s going to be huge globally and put a spotlight on him so that a new generation can see Jah’s light!!! ☝🏼 ❤️

Blessed with seeing Brother Bob and the Wailers twice in Chicago "78-79"!
I remember when my oldest Bro, introduced Bob Marley for the first to our suburb of Avondale Auckland NZ I had know idea what this music or who these Musician's were. But it sound Good my Bro had a friend whom managed a record store and imported records from UK, at the time he was coming out of the Punk rock error. He had a great passion for different recording artists, so his friend gave my Brother brought his first Album "Rasta Vibration", following week "Catch a fire" vinyl records he cranked it up, "to Full watts" on his stereo, to my surprise nobody complained lol Bob Marley and the wailers was born in Avondale lol. back in 1977 then the following year "Babylon by bus live" album was realised by now everyone in Auckland knew Bob and the wailers were. Then in 1979 they performed LIVE at Western Springs, Auckland NZ April 16th 1979. My Brother and his boys were geared up

he told me it was the best concert he had ever attended and glad that he had went, he showed me foto's, he wreckon's the atmosphere was just right. Good vibes surrounded him it was just totally different experience & atmosphere, no fights just love lol. I must've been 9 years old then, to add to that I started developing my artistic side of the gene pool. Not a week that went by I would do drawings of Bob Marley at lease 4 a day. I had his biography Tribute to Robert Nesta Marley which was given to me from a class mate for drawing Bob pix for her. Then in 1981 after his passing😔
I remember my soul lifting when I heard " Forever living Jah" of the Uprising album greatest moment ever it was like he was saying " I'm still here, forever" his memories still lives, but because of Mr Bob Marley I became a pretty good artist later parts of the years, then in 1985 I was doing the egg run, I ended up delivering to the White Swan high security there in Parnel, Auckland where Bob Marley had stayed during his visit to New Zealand what a spin off and high that was for me, it's good to see his Seeds continuing his Legacy. now 51 years of age the Memories still alive I still jam to Bob Marley & his Seeds, even with some of that shit"

My birthday is the same day that Tuff Gong left this world to start his next journey, so I hold a personal sabbath to him every May 11th in his honor, MANY of the Rastafari teachings I learned through the years have saved my life and shown me Truth in this crazy world, especially Irish Moss, Bob consumed it every day and so do I, it truly is a gift from Jah, a Super food in every sense of the word, same with Cannabis, Ital living and herbal treatments for problems, Rastafari has been right this whole time and from seeing the way the systems that Babylon have in place are so fragile and they dont last, chaos ensues when those Babylon systems fail, because of a viral sickness that is fatal to so few, the whole world turns crazy, Babylon is SO FRAGILE because fear kept it going, and once the people loose the fear, Babylon will fall, Rastafari showed me that., and I give thanks and praises for H.I.M. and the teachings.

What I admire most about Bob Marley is that he stayed true to himself. Not concerned about image, perception and all these superficial things. He just is and it’s so beautiful.
I listen to Bob regularly for 35 years and love it really. The overstanding of the lyrics has been only happening in recent times though by the grace and power of the Almighty

Some of the people them only jumping on Bob Marley bandwagon since he died ,but when he was going through his tribulations where were they. I remembered him from the days of Trench Town ,sometimes I saw him down on Orange Street, and other areas in the city.What is so ironic that Bob Marley was born in St,Ann Jamaica Nine miles, and they has neglected his birth parish from having anything there for him.
The organizers should try to recognized Bob Marley born land,and let the people of St,Ann have some of the fun too about their hero.
There are several venues in the parish can have any form of events, even that field in Brown's Town Addison Park. It is very close to his birth land, just a couple of miles to the venue. Very easy to get to from any angles, also very near to some of the other parishes.
Where other parishes people would gladly joined in ,to enjoyed the celebration of the legend earth day. The organizers must remember where the legendary singer originated from, and don't try to ignores the people of his parish now.
