    Nice review of the KM RC Universal Afterburner and I agree that customer service and listening to customers is what sets companies apart. I don't fly ducted fans, but this really makes it look nice in the air without spending a lot of money. Thanks

    Hi Adam I've fitted these burners to my jets and they are awesome. Thanks for the recalibration part. Just worked for me on 2 of my jets.

      Thanks for watching! Glad that helped...Dustin had a problem with that at first too. Important that you plug the plane in, initialize the RX, and then plug the burner in.

    Brilliant that existing install can be upgraded using the new circuit board. Seems very reasonably priced, certainly looks great in the air. Nice flying guys! Excellent description of the afterburner too. 👍👍🌞👊👊🛩️

    Great video Adam, I like this afterburner led. It’s good that LED’s off function coming. Great flying action 👍🏻

    Great gadget Adam and works well, very compact and lightweight!! One of the best I've seen!! Definitely adds that extra bit of realism to any EDF Jet, great review both 😀👍

    Hi.friend i am here To watch you and support your Channel you are doing job...

  • @TweakRacer
    @TweakRacer Před 2 lety +2

    Might be nice to have it on its own channel, mixed to the throttle, and slow down the servo speed on that channel. Would make the brightness changes less abrupt and more realistic.

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel  Před 2 lety +1

      You can do that, or just use expo on the throttle or a throttle curve. For what its worth I was just hammering it...it will slowly get brighter if you move the throttle slowly. I just never did...Lol.

    • @TweakRacer
      @TweakRacer Před 2 lety +2

      @@ModelAV8RChannel Thank you for putting on a show for us and hammering it so we can really see the afterburner. A curve or expo would help smooth out throttle inputs but still require a smooth thumb. May still be easier with my suggestion.

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel  Před 2 lety +1

      @@TweakRacer It would be a great way to do it for sure! That may also be in the programming for the burner on V2. The owner of KM was telling me there would be many new options for programming, but other than starting from off I don't know what the other options will be.

  • @marks7445
    @marks7445 Před 2 lety +1

    When they get it to come on at a fixed point, you need to add a little step up in the throttle curve at the point it comes on. Or at least make it a little steeper.

      @ModelAV8RChannel  Před 2 lety

      Hey Mark, thanks for watching! I see what you're saying...make it "hit" with acceleration like a full scale with afterburner...great idea!

    Nice video Adam, Never had heard of this company. But now guess i will have to spend some money for my 70MM Habu SS. Wanted one in it and they just cost so so much.

    what is the difference between the KM afterburner and the one from freewing?

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel  Před 4 měsíci

      No idea. I don't have any experience with a Freewing Afterburner.

  • @rcaviationcrawling7351

    Hey Adam, I keep trying to email using your channel link, but never works for me. Can u tell me an Aircraft I.D. # and location (Fuse, Vertical orientation on Rudder or horizontal orientation on Rudder,/; that would be correct for a Piper J3 Cub if it were registered in your home state of Georgia? The drawing for what will become your painting is finished, and I want to b put a scale- correct ID number on the Cub in the painting! 🛩️🛩️😎

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel  Před 2 lety +1

      Strange Mark...you may have to type the email name in rather than try to use it as a link. The N numbers on J-3's around here are mostly horizontal on the rudder. A good N number would be NC, and then below that 6474H. That is the number on my 1/4 Balsa USA J-3. It was built by one of my mentors and that was the N number of the one he learned to fly with in the 50's. Thanks buddy!

      @@ModelAV8RChannel AWESOME Adam, that's exactly the kind of info I was looking for! Will need to get a shipping address for you after the painting is finished. Happy flying!
