I reacted like I stepped on a thumbtack when I first heard the pop overtones and structure. But who am I to judge? Nahko's music was the catalyzing force behind my personal transformation due to its self-reflective nature and after listening to this a whole host of challenging thoughts and feelings have presented themselves for my further personal growth, as usual with his medicine. Maybe I'm unhealthily attached to that original organic sound of the first albums, maybe its a crutch I use to nostalgically marinate in the rose tinted memories of the first phases of my awakening, maybe its a familiar drug I use to escape the conundrums of my current reality while allowing unhealed wounds and unexplored pain that has been more recently created to fester and grow unchecked. My garden needs some careful, attentive, and heartfelt tending and that cannot be done if all I want to do is sit on the porch and daydream about how great last season's harvest was. Its time to grow again, to be comfortable with discomfort again.

This is entirely a different approach on their music, and I must say. This is really really good. Shows how much more versatile Nahko and the band can be. I love it actually.
When I heard that second-worst for the very first time I was alone I was miserable I was soul-searching and so many questions got answered. I'm not even kidding everything just flooded into my mind and I'll tell you... I cried my eyes out. This man's music is nothing short of absolutely blessed and phenomenal and life-saving. I had so many questions answered with that second verse it was amazing and rather sad at the same time. But these things happen. Music that truly touches your soul is going to elicit an emotional response from you. And this one really really does that. I would give anything to be able to meet this man shake his hand give him a hug and say thank you.
You reached in my heart and listened to my soul...from one bear to another i am grateful for you n your medicine..My 19 yr old son and I went to see you in Flagstaff Az and again in Cocoa FL..he loved your music..he passed of cancer sept 20 2018 and we had your music playing much of the hospital time especially in ICU..it brought us both great comfort..and continues for me today..this song is what i needed to hear..even though him getting sick wasnt my fault as a momma bear you take all the guilt and pain and feel it is..as i continue to heal know your music is a big factor in that..thank you for the memories i will always hold close..Namaste
Love the new song. It does have a pop sound but Nahko lyrics. Still resonates and this song may broaden his fan base. I’m still an old school Nahko fan but loving all his new stuff. So much love for all the healing your music has brought to me.

4 yrs ago I stopped running. I just stopped. Working eating meat working for the machine it's not easy doing nothing so to speak. Mediation helps. Cleaning the outside well I work on the inside. I found Nahko Rudd Wookiefoot this beautiful music no more Gangsta Rap. No more victim blaming just rising like yeast to conquer peace and stop the BEAST
Nahko! Do not leave your alternative music! After years of your nice music I am listening again this new Pop like song. Its not you Nahko! Maybe you do not realized it. Pop music has big messages in Lyrics. But this messages do not get heared, cause people only hear and do not feel pop music! Sometimes they feel, but they just listening like every Music. And your music is special to many many people! Please take care of yourself and your own way to show you and give us what you think its good and needed. Still much love for you! Just started listening to this song and the rest of this album and I gotta say it’s fire 🔥 I’m sorry I passed over it when it came out. Probably because of the pop sound. I regret that now. The messages in this song, part problem, and Skin in the game are real truth. You gotta look at yourself with a lense of truth if your ever going to progress in love.
