- In our country, when a man named Rasool falls in love with a woman named Anna, you know that you are in for a tragedy. Religion is an insurmountable wall. Like Romeo and Juliet, Anna and Rasool are star-crossed lovers, doomed from the day they meet.

I watched it w/o subtitles, absolutely don't understand Malayalam, yet watched it in one go and by the time finished watching, couldn't stop my tears.... that is the power of love, language is just a medium!!!!!
Watch Fahadh in "Bangalore Days" which was the first malayalam movie I watched. You hate him so much in that movie and suddenly by the end you just start lovinh him like crazy...
@@annagutirez5973, thanks, I have been looking for that movie for quite some time but unable to find it....any suggestion where can I find the same...
@@dulumanideka5759 its on hotstar and amazon
@@dulumanideka5759 on telegram 😅
@@annagutirez5973, thanks, I found it in Hotstar and watched it; too long for my liking but worth every minute!!!! Yes even I had tears in my eyes, thanks again....
this was the first malayalam movie i ever watched, and there was no going back ....fahadh was so natural i legitimately thought i was watching a documentary at first. automatically became my favourite malayalee actor, and frankly nobody's managed to outshine him for me yet.
Watch Fahadh in "Bangalore Days" which was the first malayalam movie I watched. You hate him so much in that movie and suddenly by the end you just start lovinh him like crazy...
@@annagutirez5973 yes i have seen him in that.
Mohanlal and Mammootty are better than Fahad though
Cried for days after seeing the ending but such is reality. Just loved this movie!!
The character of fahadh is a stalker - but is played so well and with sincerity that we dont feel afraid of him. He doesnt attempt to grab her ,or even look at her like he wants to control her. His soft gaze , smile makes anna also feel that he is not someone to be afraid of. His presence is never a threat to her. Now wether its problematic to show the character in this way is another discussion.
This film is a slow burn. I remember the first time I saw it in a theatre. I couldn't move from the seat. It was like watching a visual essay, with all elements in it. In the climax when the narrator says where Rasool was and when he dives into the sea, I could feel a stone on my heart. Rajeev Ravi is truly a master craftsman. Waiting for his 'Thuramukham'.
"But this is a stalker played by Fahadh Faasil, so there is an inherent decency about his demeanor"
I absolutely agree, i mean you didnt say anything lol but you highlighting that point. Its just disappointing to say the least. Like anupama cant have double standards on this topic atleast, that oh if someone is more charming then its okay. Like of course fahadh faasil’s character was not a bad guy at all in the movie, he was quite sweet. However, just imagine if a guy stalked to everywhere, and to your house, like clearly there is a horror story about to be made. So like what to does she mean, if someone stalks you next time, just think about how nice his demeanour is, and then brush it off.
@@kd1072 she did say that it is problematic and one would call cops in real life. The statement was about why in the film it doesn't come off as creepy to her.
@@berserk322 hmm yeah I guess. But I still find it strange that she was fine with it even in the movie. I mean I also loved his character later in the movie, but I just couldn’t ignore the stalking part.
Most underrated movie ever....such a mature and controlled chaos of emotions yet very silent....
Fahad Faasil is one of the best in India 🔥🔥🔥
With Pankaj Tripathi and vijay Sethupathi, the great trilogy of our generation
@@RahulKumar-ng2gh Please give Rajkumar Rao his due.. hes right up there too
The movie is a visual poem. Fahad's eyes narrate the story
When I think about this film, it still hurts and haunt me! What a film making and acting💔
Question: How many of 50 Film's I love have Fahadh Faasil in it?
Can you blame us! :)
@@FilmCompanion absolutely not
Of course not!
@@FilmCompanion no way
Fahadh is such a shape shifter!!!
Our official cheerleader for Malayalam cinema .. 😂❤️
Man she was serious when she said " I fell in love with Malayalam cinema “
The music is beyond the romance. Vazhivakkil song by Andrea is nothing but a pure gem
It is a classic.. rightly said slow burn .. not the cup of everyone .. brilliance of Rajiv Ravi ..
feeling like Film Companion is now the only string that still connecting me to my fading love for cinema...maybe it needs to cut off...maybe not...
Brother you know...I am sorry to say this...
But it needs to be cut off.

🧐🧐🧐
I think half of 50 film i love is malayalam movies
❤
I love Fahadh faasil but this film was problematic
Why??
The character has flaws but the director and actor never tries to glorify.
@@thameemsthoughts4504 the characters can be flawed but the problem is the film rewards him for stalking
@@NonaPrince Everybody has their own philosophy on love. Mine is also entirely different from the one which is portrayed in the film. But that never hindered me from appreciating this film. The film presents Rasool as a stalker. Anna also initially recognises him as a stalker. But with the passage of time Anna might have recognised him as someone who cares for her, who loves her and as a way to escape from her hell of a life. That may not be the politically finest notion of love, but we cannot say that it does not happen that way. The movie does not try to say that this is the purest form of love or love should happen this way or love of this kind would always be rewarded. The point of the movie itself was not to present love in its purest form. The movie told us the story of common people of Vypin, of their (not that politically correct) lovelife and it was genuine to its core. I did watch your review on Annayum Rasoolum, I watch almost all your Malayalam Movie reviews, many a times you and l had difference of opinion, but no time it was this much. I somehow resisted me from not commenting on your channel. Now I can't help 😂. After watching this movie and just talking about Fahad Fasil's acting alone is an understatement about the film.
“If you cannot bear these stories then the society is unbearable. ...
One hell of a movie
I like her outfit, what brand is it? I want it.
How many students here to learn English.
Use "to" instead of "for".
@@SAROJKUMAR-kj2ms 😂😂
You are doing everything right except for the title of the movie, please get them right
What is this segment name 50 films i love or 50 malayalam films i love?
They should make an another segment called "50 over rated craps ever made in Bollywood". Wait. 50 won't cut it make it 50000 or so...
😍
FAFA is love and Malyalam movies are class apart
👍🏼
If you have any psychological issue contact us
IS IT CO RELATED TO THE MOVIE 🤣
If this is part of marketing, i highly suggest you comment on other videos. Anupamas reviews are therapeutic by nature. Go on to sucharitas videos, there are a lot of disturbed people there.
Annayum rasoolum💚
Again a malayalam movie..
next kammattipadam movie
Pls Watch iyoubinte pustakam
This segment should be called '50 regional films I love'.
Hindi is a regional language
Because no one loves Hindi movies....
We have seen your hindi movies😂😂😂😂 Its basically the remake of some of the best South Indian movies with a bedroom scene and an item song
I don't understand. Anupama explains lot of details about the movie . But can't take few minutes to practice and pronounce "Annayum rasoolum" correctly ?
She expresses herself so charmingly and shes spreading the love Malayalam cinema deserves, lets forgive these minor details.. not everyone is expected to know the right pronunciation always..
Liked it when I watched it first, but on subsequent viewing realised how big of a creep he was being. Malayalam films, or for that matter Indian films glorify stalking and it is portrayed as some sort of ultimate plan to woo the woman. Hopefully things have changed now
rajeev ravi rep :0
It is not cinema...... It is the bunch of cctv footage..
You forgot to review the movie and just told the screenplay
Do kammatti padom.
Watch Thattathin Marayathu malayalam movie❤️❤️❤️
