What a group of extremely talented and accomplished musicians! I can't help notice how the drummer manages to play little details and syncopations on the hi-hat all the time without dominating the overall sound of the band and whilst still maintaining a solid groove. It's such a pleasure to witness.
One of my favorite album.... More I listen more I get hook just love the whole package....... Back on days I use to listening swimming in your ocean continuously.... Slowly I understood the taste of whole album now this album has became one of my favorite....
This mans voice is refreshing! The tonality in his vocal range is phenominal! The female voice just adds that outer layered harmony! I am sorry the group never "took off" in main stream music. But heh..maybe that is what they wanted??
It was a band similar to Toto. Everybody was extremely talented in their domain. Listening to this album is pure happiness! I sure play the whole album on their original ARISTA BMG cassette
It's refreshing to hear Brad sing these songs in 2020....he sounds EXACTLY the same unlike any of the others who've all suffered from vocal deterioration due to the key they always sung in.
In the Days of the Caveman is one THE best songs. There are a couple of great tunes on A Worm's Life with a similar style, such as I'm A Dog, and I'm Outlived By That Thing, which I absolutely love! But after that third album, the pep disappeared. The songs all became so melancholy and depressing and slow. Oh, what I'd give for a stylistic successor to God Shuffled His Feet, or even the more whimsical and fun nature of their debut. But something with some joy and energy. Thanks to AI, I vow to one day make a few new tracks that could have been on GSHF or AWL.
Oh the grunge era where we all were influenced by Kurt Cobains anti-establishment personality and had to give edgy answers to everything. Notice that the host just smiles it off cause everyone was trying to be like that at the time.
I know it. It's almost like you just blink and the next thing you know, 30 years or more have passed by.😕 Even here in 2024, I still absolutely enjoy their music. They are all extremely talented.😀
what to add?? it would take many more bands like CTD for artistic intelligence, style and skill...discovered back in 1994 they are still a surprise for me every time I listen to them!!!
No credit ever goes to the other female singer (NOT Ellen) who, without her additional layers of high vocals, would leave much to be desired. No one gives her credit. But i LOVE her!!! Whats her name?!
The Crash Test Dummies met their tragic end when they were thrown out of a plane by the Stone Temple Pilots. And no, they didnt survive that crash test.
Todos são talentosos, mas Stone temple pilots é acima da média. Tanto que fazem discos até hoje. Apenas 3 caras tocando instrumento e parecem uma banda com 6
No words.. Brads voice is simply UNREAL...

Brads voice, of course. But listen to the second voice by Ellen Reid, this is a really very talented woman.

Brilliant! I love that the bass sings lead and the soprano sings harmony. What other band does that? Such witty lyrics too!
The style may not be for everyone,however-the talent cannot be denied!!

After the song while Brad is answering the hosts questions, he sounds EXACTLY LIKE CARL SAGAN. Crazy

Ellen Reid is absolutely Beautiful!
Google is now tossing in video ads in the middle of the song - it's a recent change. You'll want to opt it out.
Whenever Ellen looks up with those beautiful eyes at 3:00, I still get all hot and bothered. What a knockout!
