Laurie's "Yeehaw" joke killed me 😂 she is a very thoughtful commentator but it's also nice to have a younger voice bringing in some humor and representing Gen Z. Lots of kids watched her kill it at Rio when she was 15. She is a great role model for athletes with ADHD and her positivity is infectious. I look forward to a Laurie/Nastia commentary team-up someday!
I feel I notice that when woman tumble and twist on the floor, their Salto is more vertical than the men. It seems when men are twisting they are about 20-30 degrees off vertical. Does that somehow help with the twisting? I don't mean it to sound critical of them; just that I think the twists look "cleaner" when it's more vertical
The Chinese are ALWAYS overscored on Bars...it's getting kind of old. They should not have scored higher than Shilese or Nina in my opinion. They need to devalue some of those pirouette skills if you ask me.
It wasn't. She actually has good form with a few breaks and had that step on her dismount. Nina has more difficulty but she always flexes her feet and her half turn skill wasn't credited which lowered her difficulty a bit. The scores were very fair
