She was mocking the whole procedure. It was a sign of contempt toward the queen, she clearly couldn't stand having to show deference to someone more respected and powerful. Her ego took it as an insult (like narcissists do) and this was her revenge, this mocking grovelling display with a huge smile of nasty glee on her face. It was vile.
We adore you Princess Catherine! You’re the gem in the crown… and Prince William knows it. You can tell by the way he looks at her; I just adore them and their little cherubs, however I’m a huge fan of the family’s biggest taskmaster Princess Charlotte. She’s just a little doll!

As an Indian, I completely agree. Thankfully I still follow the custom. Like how can u disrespect your elders? That too in public? Westerns don't really teach their kids manners these days and our Indian ones too are acting out. A firm hand should keep them in line but parents these days are too "busy" to keep their kids in line. You teach them the consequences early or become a laughing stock.
