- It is a nice and sunny day outside and Today we are visiting Katy Texas home to a lot from Katy mills mall to the very popular typhoon texas waterpark and to the largest Bucees gas station in an area past SH-99 and IH-10 and finally got film a best trash rear loader it is an older one these guys are pretty fast as well and this is also my second time filming manual trash pickup and yeah this is how best trash is manual pickup and not automated trucks but it was really cool to watch these guys and really cool with how chill they are and this is an older truck from possibly 2010 and this one has the classic TX plates as well it does show a sign of age by damage to the front and it’s the plastic piece between the grille and the bumper.

This is similar to how they empty trash in my neighborhood. They usually dump the cans with their arms whenever it isn’t too heavy or they will simply pull the bags out without moving the bin into the truck. Sometimes though if there is a heavy load they will use the tipper. Most Mondays they use the tipper on my bin since the load is usually heavy thanks to everyone being home for the weekend.

If you ever want to film a cool truck I suggest you film waste management of Pasadena's only mack granite rear loader left in service. It is the only truck with the old Fun fact logo on the side as all the other trucks have the what if and think green think clean signs and its been converted into CNG I believe. Sadly its time is running short but when I checked yesterday when all the trucks were there I saw it sitting there. I believe one day I actually saw it with a chrome packer blade.

@@Houstonfilmerrefuse It is Monday thru Saturday but they are mostly out on the week. Wednesday is recycle day where all zones are served but the trucks are only collecting recycling
Saw that Granite back in December with the hood open and some parts look like they’d been removed. Sadly looked like it’s scrapping process has begun…

@@RefuseDFW02Not really surprised. The fact that the truck that is from 2007 was still running in 2022 was a miracle. Usually they get rid of their trucks pretty fast, as seen with the 2013 freightliner m2s which got taken out in late 2021 (Only 8 years old). I am ashamed I never got a live video of that truck, but thank god I was able to record it from my security camera when it came by on Halloween. I predicted this truck would be removed from service in late 2022 to early 2023 and I sure wasn’t wrong. I wonder what they are gonna replace it with. I hope it’s something nice!
