    Gooloo should thank you. I have been on the fence for a while, but took the plunge and bought this solely based on your video.

    Thanks for demonstrating the pre-heat function. Looks like it might come in handy during brutally cold winters.

      Agreed; nice freeze/heater demo! For reference, this test starts at 4:15 . Vid is running at 2X there, so it took 40 seconds to go from -13º C to 5º C (from 9º F to 41º F). Percentage appeared to stay at 100% at first, but dropped to 97% immediately after (reasonable).
      Other test vids had similar results: Pre-heat takes about 20 to 40 seconds, and costs 2% to 4% in battery drop.

    The last third was very informative but you need to keep on these screens at least twice as long so we can understand what you’re trying to show us,thanks for the info, better content than most out there. I would like to see the pre heater in action in an actual outdoor test,it’s five below zero Fahrenheit right now where I live!

    For the car charger (at 6:16 ), your bench power supply and the GooLoo’s display both show about 100W, but your inline “Type” meter shows 66W (5.5A @12V). Did I read that right? Why only 66W there?
    Also, question 2: You mention their red-cord car charger uses a special protocol. Do you think any other USB-C power supply would allow the GooLoo to charge at 100W?… or is that special (proprietary?) car charger the only way to charge the GooLoo at 100W?

      Good catch about the 66w shown by the inline t66c meter. I'm not sure what's causing the wrong voltage to be shown by the meter. It should be displaying close to 20v.
      And yes, the battery can be charged using a pd3.0 20v5a power supply at upto 100w. It's just that the supplied car charger uses a proprietary protocol.

    The part that makes me wonder about the pre-heat function is it was pre-heating at room temperature. It would have heated up indoors without it. Does the pre-heat function still warm it up if it is left in the freezer? Because that's when we'll actually need it. The car won't start and we're nowhere near a heated building.

      I would imagine it would work outdoors in freezing conditions as well because I made the video moments after the unit came out of the freezer after overnight storage and the internals did not have any time to heat up to ambient room temp

      @@LWiT3CHGood point. I had to bring my GB150 indoors for half an hour before it would boost. So from 30 minutes to less than a minute is a pretty big jump.

    Amigo quiero saber si este banco de energía se puede usar como power bank para dash cam

    • @LWiT3CH
      @LWiT3CH  Před 2 lety

      It can be used to power a dashcam but the battery is not designed for this. It will not last too long.
