Paranoid - The Vietnam War

The U.S. was involved in Vietnam for a total of 25 years, supplying them indirectly with arms and advisors starting in 1950, becoming directly involved in 1965, and funding the ARVN after their departure in 1973 to the end of the war in 1975. More than 2.5 Million Americans served there with spans of time there being more than 500,000 troops on deployment at once. U.S. forces in Vietnam had their first engagements in 1965, spanning into Cambodia in 1970, and later supporting the ARVN in their invasion of Laos. Due to the ever-growing demand by the public to withdrawal from the war, the U.S. military started the withdrawal of troops in 1969, ending in 1973 after the signing of the peace agreement with North Vietnam and the Vietcong.
