- This plantation is located in Cluj county at an altitude of about 470 m above sea level.
Average temperatures in the summer months (June, July, August) are around 20-25 degrees Celsius, with possible hot spells when temperatures can exceed 30 degrees Celsius.
Winters are cold, with average temperatures around freezing. In January and February, temperatures can drop below zero degrees Celsius, and in extreme cases, can reach as low as -20 degrees Celsius.
Rainfall is relatively evenly distributed throughout the year.
The heaviest rainfall occurs in the summer months, especially in June and July.
The plantation is well tended and has no irrigation system. The only source of rainfall has been from precipitation.The trees are about 30 cm to 1 m tall.
The trees were pruned to a height of 6.20 m.
Cutting the branches before knotting improves the quality of the resulting wood. Knots can affect the structure and quality of the wood, and removing branches beforehand can result in more uniform and less defect-prone wood.
