  • Chris went from having his very first bet, a tip from a computer program in 1991 to becoming a full time professional punter in seven years. He’s since educated himself along the way creating bots and AI programs to beat the bookmakers, he’s now co-founder of SharpBetting.co.uk and sharing his knowledge.
Chris talks about how he went from buying a computer programme to get tips with his mates, and having his first bet which was successful, to becoming a professional Punter. He honed his parallel to studying for a university degree and bet with great success creating his own speed figures, winning until the bookmakers caught up with him.

How many variables does the latest version use ? Any that your typical punter would over look ?

Reckon the floppy disk ratings software Chris used in the early nineties was ProPunter Gold - DGA Atherton.

Maybe. I really cannot remember. Not even sure what type of computer it worked on.

Looked at sight. I like AI betting. But seems so many bets, is there a way to be selective with AI betting? Thanks

Very interesting question. You could just place the most potentially profitable bets. Another option is place more bets with lower stakes. This reduces the variance of your returns.

Did he have to go to London for his betting career ?

No. I could have gone anywhere. All you need is a computer and internet access for the type of betting I do.
