  • The rear pinion bearing in the rear differential on my 2004 Jeep Liberty seized and shattered so I bought a new rear end and a whole bunch of rear suspensions parts, a lift kit and new brakes. In this video, I switch out the rear end and put on all those new parts.

    I bet that gravel didn't help any on that rear axle install!
    But you got it done!

      @@atouchofhutchad I once had to replace struts on my old Ford Escort in my apartment parking lot... In January.. Sitting in 2 and a half feet of snow.
      No fun at all. So I feel your pain!! Lol

    Use orange loctite on wheel spacers buddy.. i dont use them i got “zero offset wheels “ which gives me a inch and a half outward instead..

    I just rebuilt the rear diff on my 2002 Liberty. Different style yoke on that one. is that the D30 rear diff?

      Sorry I’m not sure what rear differential it is, I just grabbed one from the local junkyard off the same year Liberty

    Would lift kit spacers work as well as bigger springs? Or at least last.

    • @atouchofhutchad
      @atouchofhutchad  Před rokem

      I don’t think I’m the best person to answer that question. A mechanic could probably give you a better answer but the spacers are solid so I feel they would last a while

    • @jasonjulian1
      @jasonjulian1 Před rokem

      Do they work as well as springs to lift it, yes in the sense that the truck will sit higher.
      But they still rely on your old weak and tired springs. So they ride like trash. It's honestly a waste in many people's opinion to do spacer lifts on a KJ/KK.

      @@jasonjulian1 Makes sense, I’m getting new springs and struts and still want the ground clearance but don’t necessarily need more travel, just enough umph to get over some stuff. So spacer lift for me will be better than a more expensive lifted spring assembly.

      @@bigriggc5828 as long as you aren't looking for good ride quality plus lift, or long term reliability... Spacer lift ought to do you good from the sounds of it.
      I wouldn't worry about it much then. Just routinely check suspension parts for abnormal wear.
