    I have used mine for three days. You can work quickly and is not very messy to work with.
    It works just fine. For the last coat I used a dry roller and gently rolled over the wall to eliminate streaks and drips.
    Finished product looks great!

  • @martinesswitnessaro29371

    I use a paint roller tray to help clean the roller out, running it backwards and forwards over the ridges, (when the water stays clean so is the roller), after running water through the fill hole. Just use clean water in the tray a few times. I also use the tray to help prime the roller. I also find it best to thin the paint. Experiment a bit.

    A lot of people have noticed the material of the roller is fleece material and it seems like you first have to put a lot of pressure on the roller and that can leave you breathless. But I have noticed that the cap is flimsy they should may be give the cap a screw type fitting!

    Hi Jennifer, thank you for the video and as a decorator, from your video the paint runner pro is one tool I'll never be using because of the inconvenience that it comes with. I prefer application by brush and roller and it's not difficult at all once a person gets used to brush and roller and knows all the tips and tricks. I've got some product reviews if it interests you, these products I review are UK based and not sure if they're in America

    Glad I came across your video because I almost pulled the trigger and bought. You did a great review, thank you. It just looked too cumbersome to want to deal with. The idea is great, this one just doesn’t cut it though. I’m looking at time. David Liberati Welcome! Cinder block is a different animal all together. I did use a regular roller on the cinder block in my basement and had to push/go over the areas several times because of the porous nature. Overall, I’m a messy painter and always drip paint when moving from my pan to the wall, so in that aspect, this is better. If I had never used either and had to pick one, I’d still go with this. 👍

      I FINALLY got round to braving this roller since first watching this vid. Firstly - I totally agree there is no splashback or dribbles which is why I ovoid rollers in the first place. I’m great with a paint brush and terrible with a roller. Secondly, I get what you mean about quality, it’s almost fragile! 😅🙈 Of course one of the children stepped on the main roller and it went “CRUNCH”, but sprang back to shape! Some of its ‘ribs’ for want of a better word, are cracked/snapped but remain in the right tunnel/curved shape and I was still able to finish the wall! Awesome 😎 I’m yet to use the other bits for corners and skirting. I’ve an entire house to do 😩
      Oh and rolling it on paper for about 10 minutes got almost nothing for me. I filled it more then went straight to the wall - voila, the paint suddenly started to appear and soak the roller.

      @@Jennyfromtheshop Hi Jennifer, yep tried out the roller on a job I was working last week. I found it was pretty great on an already painted wall. Not so on a newly plastered ceiling, gave inconsistent and uneven coats. Resorted to a conventional roller in the end. I also found the additional edging gadgets completely useless and resorted to a brush and small roller for all tge edge's. Was using pretty good paint as well. Conclusion?
      I think as a touch up and quick make over tool, where you don't want to make too much mess , this tool could be useful. I have a job lined up in couple of weeks, where I will be just painting over emulsion, so we'll see how it goes. 😉

      Thank you for sharing your findings! There was another follower who said using it on ceilings was a disaster, so I’m guessing gravity is no this roller’s friend. I also thought the extras were useless and would rather they spend more money making the roller a little better quality vs giving us a bunch of gadgets. I do think it has its place. Drop your handle here if you’re on Instagram so I can follow your projects.

    I’ve seen on other videos that the sponge at the edge of the roller seems to swell up causing the paint to deep out, maybe if the roller was used at all times where the cap is never at the bottom for fear of it falling off, it may be better if there area in the home was already painted so really to use it to just freshen up the home, as I’m stuck in the house due to covid 19 I need to do something as I’m bored. How are these to clean out, please could you do a video on how you cleaned it out so you can use a different colour paint. Would you still use dust sheets on the floor just incase it may drip ??? did you use the edging and corner tool ???? Sorry for so many questions... thanks all and stay safe 🙏🙏🙏

    • @Jennyfromtheshop
      @Jennyfromtheshop  Před 4 lety

      MrTheomighty1 Lol, it’s all good. Ok, I felt cleanup was maybe a little easier because I was just washing a roller vs washing a roller plus pan. I cleaned my roller the usual way from the outside, but also was able to spray water from the inside (forcing it out). I have a (closet) painting project going on now but only have so much paint and won’t be using this roller on it so another video right now isn’t feasible. We’re all a little stir crazy right now, but this is a good time to tackle projects, so go for it!

    • @Jennyfromtheshop
      @Jennyfromtheshop  Před 4 lety

      MrTheomighty1 Yes, still use drip sheets in case. I tried using the edger but the cinder block of this project was too rough. In honesty, the accessories are a bit cheap, not that they don’t work but I think the manufacturer should stick to making the roller a bit sturdier and call it a day.

    I've used this myself - you need the right paint and need to get the pad evenly coated on flat paper for a couple of minutes. And why would you put a stick in it if you're not painting high up? You'd have much better control of it if you took the stick out!

    • @Jennyfromtheshop
      @Jennyfromtheshop  Před 3 lety

      I did take the stick out, the plastic was a small handle for both hands so I thought it would be helpful, but it wasn’t. Projects are very often trial and error and what I learn by making mistakes is what other users would likely try as well.

Having a full roller made it hard to roll also. It is still messy. I have paint all over my hands and some on carpet. I have 2 painter poles and broom handle and all were too big for the roller handle. Paint a room in 20 minutes? My patootee. My arms are killing me. 😂 the 'stick' you used obviously wasn't made for the Paint Runner Pro. You either buy one of their's or use a broom handle. Not sure where you got yours from. But, the extended handle is only needed when painting high, or the ceiling, not when you're level with the wall. You are also supposed to wash the roller before the first use.
    After all the initial complaining, you seem to have got on well with it anyway.

      On alternative is to simply record horizontally as normal then crop/remove sides to turn it into vertical for other formats. This way you can keep full source video intact and still have exact same video as this for the other formats.

    You do realize it took you a while to apply 4 to 5 coats of paint just to a three foot section of cinder block? For a roller to require that many coats in such a small amount of wall does not show a good product. And I saw the dripping line of paint you have to go over again at 13:53. I would never buy this product. You get a better quality product with a paint stick than this thing.

      Returning Shadow Have you ever painted cinder block? It’s not fun because it’s porous, you’d have to make several passes with ANY roller. Also, this paint was thinner than traditional paint because it’s for basement walls, that’s why it was dripping. I gave my honest opinion of this product.
