I have a selmer Bb clarinet and its third hand I think (his name is Winston). I'm not really professional enough to know what you guys are talking about. I love you guys, truly a model for humble clarinet players such as myself

Awww thank you! Honestly, it’s a little bit of looking into how they make clarinet equipment and just knowledge about different types of sounds. We always recommend players of all levels to try out different equipment to see what sounds good for you and so you can figure out a sound you like (though we are quite partial to Buffet 😉).

We do hear the difference, very interesting. How about a full Icon setup, bell+barrel (with same metal) + test with both mouthpieces. I kind of prefer the rose gold sound. I did try a silver barrel once, and couldn't hear and feel a difference with my setup (RC clarinet + Vando BD5 + V21 3.0 + Silverstein Gold ligature).
    good work.

I play flute in my band, but soon I will be buying my own Bass Clarinet. Super excited, thank you for the inspiration!

If I weren't a broke grad student, I would be so tempted to buy one or two of these pieces for my Buffet R13. But I already have to switch between two barrels because my clarinet goes super sharp during the spring and summer, so maybe it's for the best.

It doesn’t hurt to try them out! If you end up finding something you really like that makes a big improvement to your setup, it’s worth it at least to start saving up for one. 👍🏽

Thanks for your video guys. I tried the barrels on my R 13 clarinet when they first came out and they were too tight. My R13s are from 1970 and a re great instruments I had them customised by Paul Carrington of Newark in England he is a fantastic repairer et cetera please get your equipment sorted out and stay on it and learn the music, sorry but I'm old-fashioned! May God bless you all and yours - Best wishes - Bill - UK

Why is the volume level cca .10db higher in point when she played the ICON barrel compare to volume level when plays her original barrel ?

Icon Bell - no difference! Icon Mpc - very subjective and hard to draw conclusions from. Icon Barrel - Amazing results!
