I think I would save up for a Denon sc6000m
Solid PASS on this one lol
Nah I will go for Rane my dream controller!
@@brandongatson6550 Thanks for sharing!
@@roaming_phantom_le6th210 Good idea!
The people want Pioneer to update features and be in front of every one. Since they don't and also their price point is huge every one seems to be gravitating to Denon.
This is a good chance for Denon to catch up!
@@djcarlo Denon is way ahead of Pioneer.
Tbh Pioneer doesn't have a lot of headroom to experiment in their flagship line up . The majority of people want familiarity shifting from some home controller to a club cdj setup and not get overwhelmed with features . I would atleast need some time to get used to denon's deck and software before i can start which is not the case with denon. If you belong to the bunch of guys who only wants features then denon's are the way to go . But if you want something more reliable and familiar pioneer is the only option . I definitely won't feel as confident with denon's at the club .
@@arkaprabhabanerjee1639 I switched from Pioneer to Denon a few months ago. Kinda like yourself I thought it would take some time to get the grips with the Denon so decided to make the change during Covid. I reckon after only a few hours I was playing on them like I was using them years. Came really quickly, so for anyone thinking of changing I wouldn't let that stand in your way. If you have been playing on Pioneers for a few years you will have no problems. By the end of day one you will know 90-95% of it's functions and will be mixing to the same level you would on pioneers. As for the software it wasn't great when I started using it but after a few updates it's much better and with the new beta versions we finally got elastic beat grids. My only real gripe with the SC5000 is the tension on the platters. That did take some getting used to. I have had to change the way I do my spin-backs because I can't get a light enough tension. Having said that I have got used to it now so it's not the issue it was in the beginning.
@You're fake and gay I have seen several denon stuff (except the flagships ) crash under load which has taken away a bit of my confidence in them .
I love my CDJ3000 from the day one. I can honestly see why Pioneer is the number one choice for so many DJ's around the world. Pricewise its another story but then again let's face it; this is the product which is aimed at big venues, festivals etc. it's not really meant to be used in the bedroom... Personally as long as I can afford it this will always be my number one choice.
Fair enough bud! I do enjoy Pioneer myself, but they are on a higher price scale than others!
Yes your on point with this bro.. CDJs are not designed to be software controllers.. People need to understand that CDJs are real stand alone media Players designed for professional venue use by professional DJs without need for computers or software. The extra processing is for the higher sound quality on big Festival like sound systems, which a regular tiny controller with large cue buttons is not designed for. And most paid DJs need amazing sounding equipment to meet obligations of high paying customers. Pri yon Joni has an excellent explanation of the intent, use, and design of the CDJ3000... Controllers rely on the computer to operate, although they do the job quite well, they will never have the sound quality of a professional stand-alone DJ system from a pricing standpoint.
they were the first, but that doesn't mean that they are the best
hopefully then the older CDJS have a decent enough price drop for me to pick up lol
The 2nd hand market should be crazy now! Good luck!
Nothing the matter with a CDJ1000 mk3’s
Pick em up for peanuts and they have the added benefit that they predate sync.
Get this.
You....yes you.
Can actually do the beatmatching bit.
The actual DJ’ing bit
Yes you.
Crazy I know.
And check this out also.
#looks left looks right shadily#
You
Yes you.....can create a loop.
You have to be on point but you can create the loop.
This is no time to be hitting the sync button and pulling love heart hand signs young pups.......pick yourselves up a bargain
Disclaimer.....please be aware you will be required to be able to beatmatch using only your ears and your skills.....
Pioneer holds no responsibility if you sound like a horse falling down a flight of stairs.
Jon Sage hahaha 😂
Ain’t that the truth. 😂😂
You can now use the CDJ-3000 setup for a lower price using VR (TribeXR ) for practice, and you can buy a pioneer controller for gigs.
too expensive id buy it if it is sold for 800$ - 1000$
Better if $1! LOL
Well keep dreaming haha but there is some truth about it. I just don't get why it is more expensive than the nexus 2 while not having a CD player!! I actually know a lot of djs who enjoy playing with cds
@Star Lord But they really seem to try and get the heat. I can see why they removed CDs and not gone radical with two decks and WiFi, but two ports total and the lower amperage on the charging port are something that would've been so cheap to do and yet they didn't go for it. It doesn't even support SD cards over 32GB! It feels like they wanted to make this a sidegrade.
And with clubs going extinct or at least very much lacking money at the moment, this only leaves streaming festivals and rich-ish pro DJs as the potential buyer base. Pushing such a lackluster product under these conditions doesn't seem like the right call to me.
Get xdj700 or 1000 they re great
I feel like I can do a lot more with my SZ2 for only $2,000, $3000 including a decent laptop vs almost $8000 for 2 cdjs and a mixer 😳
Yes I agree! I myself am happy with my ddj 200 lol 😂
@Star Lord How we went from 2 turn tables and a 2 channel mixer to a $16,000 setup!? 😂
@@djcarlo Its addictive I started with an sb3 in December 2019 and now I have a SZ2. Djing is a drug! 😂

I love the intro "let's face it.....you're not gonna buy this!", TRUE :)))
I started my career using Denon gear and I don't regret any second, I refuse to play on the ancient CDJs at any festival, club etc. and I will continue refusing the "new ones" because they are already old, even my Denon Prime GO can do more than the CDJ's
When the technical stuff of events will say that they can't provide Denon players I will say simply provide me with a XLR or RCA connection to the main mixer and an empty desk to install my Denon Prime 4.
If you really think Pioneer dj gear is ancient because it doesn't do what your beloved Denon Prime GO does then you need your head checked, I use both, Denon and Pioneer DJ, I prefer Pioneer DJ due to how good their jogwheels are and how awesome rekordbox is. If I'm out djing I play on both depending on what's available, you sound like a bit of a diva to me tbh.
@@echno4727 I am using my functions and my ears in a mix not my beauty, if you have this topless diva stereotype in mind please don't include me in it and learn to be respectful!
Beside of jogs which are obviously bigger, better for DJs that like to scratch and that you have eight cue points (atention only cue points!) in the same uncomfortable position please tell me what i can do better on a Pioneer cdj 3000 than my beloved Denon Prime GO ?
I have WIFI (Pioneer NO)
I have online streaming (Pioneer NO) and here with the last updates i don't even need my usb drive because i can use my DropBox to play music, or Tidal, or Beatport, or Soundcloud
I have pads with functions not just cue points, yes only 4/4 switchable because of the dimensions but I can use them for Hot Cues, Loops, Roll etc. (Pioneer NO)
I have a battery (Pioneer NO) and I can play anywhere at any time, also with the new technology for WIFI sound without latency I can play from the croud if I want
I have a multi touch screen display (Pioneer NO)
I can analize tracks on it (Pioneer NO)
I can create playlist on my USB drive or directly on my streaming services i don't need a computer for that (Pioneer NO)
I can create creates I can edit my playlists online (Pioneer NO)
What the hell I have also a mixer and effects and a EQ, faders.
The list goes on, and all that in a tiny beloved Denon Prime Go
@@echno4727 do you hear yourself in a echo?
You own both? you are out DJing where? in covid times? with the new CDJ3000 already?
Man AYA sounds like a professional DJ talking about the future in the first comment and with strong arguments in the second one, you sound like a immature liar and a Pioneer fanatic
@@djaya.official Diva does not imply you're beautiful, nor does it imply you cant dj, I'm just saying that a more versatile dj wouldnt mind playing on Pioneer or Denon. A guy can be a diva, so it's not sexist either, I'm pretty sure you're a decent dj. You assumed that my comment was aimed at you because you're a girl, honestly though some of the best djs in the world are women, I've been djing for over 20 years and I've no hesitation using whatever dj gear is put in front of me, whether its 1210s, Cdjs, etc etc. Literally makes absolutely no difference to me. If there is a small learning curve it's more rewarding. Just my opinion. Most of the features you mentioned in your comment you don't use and realistically at a gig u never will.
@@mr2sw208 Did I say I owned the 3000s? or did you assume? I obviously meant the brand not the model. Ofc I'm not djing through covid, again you're assuming. I was replying to the fact that AYA wrote she wouldn't touch the ancient tech, ie, (pioneer dj) Pioneers equipment is far from ancient, and tbh any dj worth their salt would play on whatever's available. I've been djing for 20 years, through the era of Technic 1210s right through till today, I own 2 1210s, a sl 1200, Denon prime sc6000 x2 and a ddj1000, also an old djm 800 and 600, I know my equipment, and I enjoy each of them for different reasons, so before you assume next time, ask me why I wrote what I wrote first.
Honestly I’m happy with the improvement that you can now see where your Beatmatching on these CDJs

I love how you explain and represent the comedy on your videos, very good production men, go ahead ✌🏼🎵❤️🇪🇨
Soooo basically stick with denon👍
Yup~ Support them in your own way!
I never knew that was the reason you barely mixed with CDJs, I wouldn't blame you though, DJing is also about being quick
Yeah thanks man for making it that far. Loading times of old cdjs suck!!
Is this true ? I'm planning to get an xdj rx2. Does it take for ever to load tracks with cue points ?
Enis Boniakos I own the XDJ RX2 and have used CDJ NXS2s extensively. The CDJS have a faster loading time for each track. Not by too much though and I certainly wouldn’t say the tracks take “forever” to load. It’s certainly never messed me up and I like to mix quick.
It takes longer to load an LP, I’m good. I’m going from a. DDJ SB3 to a DDJ 1000

I just want Allen & Heath to make a 4-channel traktor controller with analogue EQ's and filters. That's the dream product right there.
Woot woot! That is pretty awesome! Thanks for watching!
Made a joke reply to your reply on the Pioneer Channel, but lets put tech aside. As long as you can DJ, and learn the basics, what does new products even matter..
Rock what you got!
That's true, that's true. Gotta have a good foundation. Thanks for watching! 🙌
I respect your honesty. It’s refreshing. Pioneer still won’t send me product. Lol. One day...
Oof! I guess other commenters below agree with me too! But honesty, to be honest, is good when Pioneers listen to such sentiments!
Those controllers are so overpriced!!!
I agree! They should be cheaper!
If you're using a $2300 CDJ as a controller, it's definitely overpriced. If you want to use it as a stand-alone player, it's worth the price, but if you want an inexpensive controller, the market is full of them.
Even as standalone it's overpriced. Pretty disappointing value for price compared to the XDJ units.
@@ccricers yup there's no justification for the price. Even if the price was for 2 of them. Lol They didn't even consider the pandemic and denon's offerings...Very arrogant of them. SMH.

I finally got to see a cdj3000 in person, it’s pretty amazing in my opinion. I start a DJ residency this week coming up on Thursdays and they have the 2000’s but I have to get in and practice on them. Thank you Carlo for the video!
Hermano! Hace mucho tiempo desde que! The 3000s are quite a beast in person, but I'm still so worried that if I get too far in the zone, I'll end up doing something very wrong with those hot cues haha. Practice is always a good thing!
@@djcarlo siiii it’s been a while, I’ve been busy working on music and spinning at events. Yeah those cue buttons are in a tricky spot hahaha…love all of your content and always seem to find a new video of yours even if it’s one from 2yrs ago! Bendiciones!
You should do a video on all in one units! I feel like they are the perfect in between for CDJs and Controllers
The SC6000(M) easily beats the crap out of the 3000. When will DJs finally start being creative again and not just be button pushers ☹️😩
Hey Carlo great video! Can you make a video on how to connect a cdj2000nxs with your mac/laptop as a midi controller? Keep up the great job!
I went for the SC5000 and still don't regret it to a tiny bit. You get them for around 1000$, buy two of them (getting 4 layers) and it's still less than ONE single, technologically inferior CDJ-3000. Former Pioneer users, but done with their "club standard" bs. They became lazy and greedy. I opted for progress and innovation. Also the forum and community is muuuch better.
Thanks for another 🔥 vid 👍🏾
Thanks for always watching :)
300K SUBS!!! CONGRATS!!!
Welcome from Hungary! 🙂 It was a good review and opinion from the new "CDJ". Did you know to the CDJ 500 tutorial video what you put on your video is subtitled in hungarian? 😄
Ohhh! I appreciate this! Thanks for watching! And I'll take note of that suggestion! Let's see!
Hey Carlo Atendido, first of all nice video, very complete love your work !
I wanted to know if you could do a Q&A videos where we can ask you questions in comments or where do you prefere because i have a tons of questions !
I also wanted to know if nowadays you can still run giggs with controller or if you are forced to have CDJ's and if you can, which controller do you advice and if you can't, which CDj's do you advice ? Personnally, what do you use in nightclubs ?
Thank you for your contents keep it up !
2:53 I was always under the impression that cdj starts for Compact Disk Jockey
Club owner product. That's what CDJs are. In this times of Covid the sales on this are going to be abysmal. From a DJ perspective no reason to have this at home unless you want to have the exact same gear as the club... And in this case your club will most likely not have it so don't get too excited with the cue points and fast load. Once you're there, it will be gone.
Plus most clubs _already_ have a working CDJ2000NX2 set-up which every professional DJ is familiar with, so they have no reason to upgrade. I get the need for a club standard because it makes everyone's life easier, but these aren't worth the asking price.
Can someone explain me what's the difference between a CDJ and a controller?
I mean, what a CDJ does that a controller can't do?
@@SilasTorres9 a CDJ is a standalone audio player, no need for a laptop. A controller 'controls' DJ software on a laptop via MIDI.
There's more differences of course but I think this is the biggest.
@@InternetThe but there is also controllers that don't need laptops, like Pioneer DDJ RR, DDJ RX, etc
@@SilasTorres9 I wouldn't consider them controllers per se, but yeah they exist. Those basically have two CDJs built in, albeit with a limited feature-set compared to the real deal (FLAC support is the first thing that comes to mind).
Let’s play “how long until a dvs DJ goes on a rant”. I say within a hour of this video being uploaded 😂
Let's see! Thanks for watching!
I think they over prized it cause they knew everyone would still buy it because of the Hype
Yeah could be that. 😆 Thanks for watching!
Well because of no features that some djs now really need thanks to denon the hype is over...
I honestly never really understood why you would buy expensive CDJs as a DJ? I don't think DJs are the target audience for the CDJ 3000, clubs are. You can perfectly prepare your set and practice with a 300 dollar Pioneer DJ controller.
there are pros and cons definitely but having the right skills allows you more flexibility
You missed a great key feature, you can preview a song without needing to load it in
Oh! Thanks for pointing that out! Great!
Since I'm Hungarian I instantly noticed the hungarian text scroll on the cdj500 demo/tutorial video. No idea where you picked it up :D Greetings from Hungary.
Ohh! Interesting! You're a keen observer! Thanks!
I love my cdjs 1000mk3.its all about the ears and music!
Woot woot! Thank you so much!
Would love to try out a pair of sc6000m to see how they really stack up, but the rane 12 mk2 and 72 mk2 look very attractive as well and much more versatile now. Got a ddj-rz wanting to check out recordbox and get close to CDJ experience with all the goodies of a controller, using it with DVS and liking it quite a bit, but it does take up a bit over 5ft of space on a table. The cdj3000 would be a lot more attractive if it was cheaper and had actual performance pads and modes, but i guess they still want you to buy a xp1 to go along with it. Might be interesting to pair it up with a djm-s9. Wonder if it has HID mode for traktor like the cdj 2000 gens all did. That would also make it more attractive. But it definitely does not seemed to be price for any dj hobbyist, i think they are mostly aiming at big venues that will foot the bill for these units. I guess that is a smart biz decision. I opted for the ddj-rz picked it up for 1200 u can't even get used cdj 2000 (even pre-nxs) for that price, they hold their value. Sucks if you just want to try it out for different setups. I really wanted to have a pair to use with my traktor s8 as dvs alone was hard to mix for someone like me who is no vinyl veteran. Would love to check out denon and rane, but for now i will just have to drool over review vids
The days of the CDJ being the "industry standard" are over. More and more pro DJs are switching their rider. Denon puts this to shame.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Cheers!
Lol. Of the hundreds of riders of the top DJs in the world that I have to read through at my job as a backline technician for major electronic music festivals, I’ve only ever seen 2. Most of the few (literally under 10 people I bet) touring guys that request denon at this point are being paid sponsorship by denon. They aren’t voluntarily switching from pioneer.
There is no industry at the moment, time for a reset
Imo keye furures for my liking
1. Updated sound procesing. This is a very nice future for DJs who use wav/flac/aiff playing at huge venues with top of the line audio set up. The clubbing experience will get even better for the audience. High end D/A converters can cost more than one 3000 player alone, so its nice to see pioneer pay attention to the most important thing, making uncompressed sound better. Remember, the soundprocesing part alone can justife its price point compared to Denons flagship modle.. just saying
2. Changing keye: this is HUGE imo and it was about friggin time. That it took pioneer until 2020 to implement a future theyve already technicly mastered (key changing along with the tempo fader) is beyond me. This needs to be a feature on entry level products as well imo.
Also, its a nice thing thats it expensive as long as the price reflects quality components and durability.. this thing should be able to handle use 50 hrs a week, 365 days a year, for many years + transport. If it turns out to be a durable product $2200 is a very good price imo.
WOW! That's very thorough insights! Thanks for sharing these points and your workflow! More folks can relate!
Welcome back bro
As someone who comes from turntables, the idea that moving platters are a step too far for a lot of DJs seems weird. Im ot one of those vinyl purists, I just bought some SC6000Ms, and DJing on static platters is a skill too. Its just weird that a moving platter is seen as something too radical
Thanks for sharing this!
i would reckon that including a motor when its not technically necessary is adding point of failure when the digital turntable works just fine
yh for 2 grand per cdj i would expect it to have moving platters
Expected something far more. oh well denon here we go
Thanks for watching! 🙌🙌
I am a Pioneer guy, through and through. I've had them all. From the 500's to the 2000's, including controllers. That being said, if I had the choice, I would get the Denon SC6000 instead. WAY more for your buck.

Considering it’s only $100 more than the last one I think it’s fine

Literally Best Review on a Latest Cdj i've ever Seen😍,
Whatever it was.. good or bad.. but ur review is Cool*😄
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching! 🙌🙌🙌
Awesome to see your review Carlo! Just a response about the cue point placement. There was extensive research done with 200 artists about the hot cue location. It was found that being away from where they rest their hand, and being closer to where they used to be located from the upper left was preferred. Being above the jog wheel prevents from accidental trigger, and it serves as an extension to the touch display. You have to think, these CDJs will be used side by side in groups of 4 to 6. Unlike a 2 deck controller, the wider you go, the more likely your hand covers over the the lower part of the jog wheel.
The reason for Hot Cues instead of performance pads is for a related reason. Once again, they will be using sets of 4 to 6 decks. It is very easy to lose track of what pad mode you are in. On a 2 deck controller or 2 channel mixer, not so much. But 4-6, you run the risk of making a mistake. At a high profile event on stage at a festival with a big artist, it's not exactly something you want to happen. 1 set of hot cues for 1 function keeps you from making these mistakes. For the users who will be using these, hot cues is all they want and need. I don't see an Ultra headliner switching over to hit the slicer.
Nice Response Bro!! Teach them how its done!! lol!!! Besides I like cue points at the top where I can see them clearly instead of at the bottom or similar to how the S11/REV7 mixer is setup (cue points on top of fader and visible)
im sad cause soundcloud now charges to stream songs on the mix
Oh no! That's unfortunate!

What a dream set up!
@@djcarlo so basically i have 2 cdj3000, djma9, rmx1000 and djs1000 that im rocking with
A missed chance, IMHO. Software could be upgraded over time (although experience showed Pioneer likely won't add new features later), but the missing performance pads (instead of misplaced hot cue buttons) cannot be upgraded later. CDJ3000 looks even worse than the XDJ-XZ player section. Would Pio have just added the new display to the XDJ-XZ layout - this could have been nice.
Denon is cool and price is great but you get what you pay for. The products are buggy and that is why they aren't industry club standard. With pioneer, you also get what you pay for and it is extremely reliable. As far as hot cue button placement, I can agree that they are dangerous, but the reason they are at the top and not the bottom is because many djs like to rest there palm on the bottom when pushing and pulling the track using the side of the platter. I think having them on the side somewhere would have been optimal, but there isn't much room there. Maybe they get rid of some things they don't need anymore, like the loop in and out buttons to make room while making the hot cue buttons smaller so they can fit, but that is tricky. I think for a lot of djs, the placement is ok. Most djs that want to do crazy stuff with the hot cue buttons will have a different piece of hardware for that. but that's just my 2 cents.
Oh! Thanks for sharing your honest insights!
OK I might not agree with you on that one. A company I work for brought 4 CDJs 2000 Nexus 2s.
After one month they were showing problems. Link cable input was shit and would cut out if slightly moved. Cue button was the second thing to go. And the worst thing. New Years just gone. The fucking thing stopped playing in the middle of the gig. Disaster.
2 players had issues early on. That's bullshit. The quality control is trash with Pioneer
One of my Nexus’s track search buttons died on me, after extremely low mileage - I now own 2 Denons and they’re built like tanks - flawless! Any and all bugs are long gone with software updates.
I think that people need to really understand Denon is way ahead of pioneer and pioneer just gives you alittle at a time but raises the price by 1000!!!
Hell yeah! 300k! Can we get to 350k by the end of the year?
Thanks for the greetings! Yay! And challenge accepted!
Much Respect DJ Carlo, thanks for being ahead with this type of stuff, your kind of mixing is the same as mine so I would pass on this one even if I have the money.. them buttons though 👎🏾
Thanks buddy! Agree with you there!
Hey whats uppp Carlos great video now I always see you testing and using the latest equipment but I want to know what do you use the most turntables or controllers
Depends really! I'm heavy on the CDJs in clubs and gigs. Controllers are mostly for the channel, and some gigs. Turntables I tend to use for competitions only; even with Phase, I like saving my needles, and the set up takes a bit more time.
I see ok so what I wanna know is do the fake seraro records still waste the needles like a real vinyl ?
Hey Carlo, thank you for sharing. Do you think may be they surprise us launching a new CDJ-900 or XDJ-1000? Knowing they target the cdj-3000 to pros and clubs.
What am I getting if I get a cdj 3000. Denons are reliable and upgrading each time!
I went with a pair of Denon SC6000M decks and DENON X1850 mixer. Always preferred Denon's motorized decks.
Awesome! Everyone has a setup meant for them, and I'm glad you found yours.
I’m honestly disappointed in this release. I really thought pioneer would attempt to design a motorized platter. Also not vibing have to reach over platter to use cue points. Odd design choice.
Who in their right mind would pick the new cdj over Denon SC6000M ?
Hey, bud! Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this!
Club owners and PA companies will pick them over Denon, it's the whole industry standard reliability thing.
And as much as I like the Denon, it'll be the Pioneer that you'll be walking up to on festival and club stages. I mean, it's pro gear not bedroom stuff.
I will answer you once and for or all. Pioneer will, never, ever, ever, do motorised patter. I repeat - never ever, ever. Just forget about it. They will never do it.
@@billB101 that WAS the case but is rapidly changing, laid back luke and such...plus even Ministry in England has now made room for controllers and the like. That old attitude of pioneer is the standard is quickly falling away as history. Much in the way that dj's must change to stay current and competitive, so must the companies that make our tools. The old adage about the industry standard isn't going to age well for much longer.
@@wylatron I'm a live sound engineer covering a lot of clubs and festivals in the UK and Europe ( I also DJ on the oldskool scene ) Stages and booths have always been able to accommodate controllers, Serato setups etc but Pioneers are still by far the most requested DJ set-up and installed gear in venues and festivals, I don't see that changing any time soon to be honest.
It’s the wrong time to release a club controller, since nobody will see the inside of a club for some time 🤷🏻♀️
Getting ready for 2021. 😆 😆 Thanks for watching!
Nice & honest review
Thanks buddy! Just gotta keep things straight with you!
CDJ 3000 works fine with me, No complaints here, it's a cool product....
I see what you mean, myself i am new and i'm waiting for my Numark PartyMix Controller to come and i'm watching your videoes to learn. But i would never use over 500 dollars on DJ stuff tbh.
Yeah I agree with you! You'll enjoy the Hercules!
2:02 This is Awesomeness
Glad you like that one! Thanks for watching!
Well I'm happy I bought my Prime 4!
Well said my friend!!!
Just being honest. Thanks for watching! 🙌🙌🙌
so let's wait for an updated XDJ-XZ mk2 with one of these bigger Screens. :D
If you run a stage at a festival, if you run a club, if you have a serious venue.
But you know what? Even at 1-3 of my above, I still wouldn’t, even without covid, but these.
They don’t offer up enough to make me want to change from the nexus and further: lots of people are turning up with controllers.
Beyond that...
I think I’d rather change up next time and buy denons, you know, go with someone who DOES want to be on the cutting edge
Ohh yeah! Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts! Your points are valid!
I completely agree… cdj3k gets a ton of pros rooting for em but when one spends some decent time with it, it flaws comes pouring out in no time as I personally learnt too the hard way.
Curious what’s your goto controller if not this then 🤔 I’m guessing an analogue kit
Oh man! What happened with your CDJ 3000 experience? And for controllers, well, it depends. The PLX1000s are still amazing, along with the S9. But for a controller, it depends, but the FLX10 or FLX4 are up there
Can't wait for the CDJ 300 NXS2 to come out.
Thank you so much! Woot woot!
I hope they fixed the cue/play buttons breaking. People love to hammer on those things.
I see what you’re pointing to! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
when seeing videos about the cdj 3000 the first thing came in my mind like wtf is those cue placements xD
I think that the ex pioneer dj controllers might be more suitable for all djs ; )
That's true!
Great video as always man! PD: The "C" of CDJ comes from "Compact", not CD's so it's "compact DJ" equipment
My thought too... its funny how offended some people are because the CDJ doesnt mean what they think it should, and I can imagine theyve never owned a CDJ or even be serious about purchasing one.. besides, think of all the money and time saved burning CDs...
@They Caged Non What I mean is that the "cd" in this case is not compact disk. People think that CDJs should play CD's just because they have "CD" written in their names. Pioneer themselves give this answer to everyone.
@@andowalsh I agree, some people get mad just because they were wrong in something that's not even important. The fact that you don't need to burn CD's every week to update your music library is a lifetime game changer tho!
Just to add, the bottom line is Pioneer can call them whatever they want to, if this issue is a deal breaker then people need to have a serious word with themselves.. The same people who would vehemently dislike the colour or name of a supercar they couldn't ever afford..
1:44 I DJ on a 7 inch tablet and I don't know why am I watching this video who else is like me
how about the layer button, so they can make the xdj-xz mk2 a 4 channel standalone... :)
Well done on getting 300k subs
Thanks buddy! It's been a hard fight but we're here!
@@djcarlo never give up. That's the worst thing you can do
absolutely overpriced. sad. Good night Pioneer! It was a great last dance!
Big oof! But I get you! Thanks for watching!
Just To Remind You,These Aren't For Bedroom Djs
ABOUT HOT CUES: You say they can only be used as cues, but if u go to the end of your track and then activate slip, the cues will only play while being held down.
Oh cool! Must've glossed over that part! Good catch
To be honest I thought the CDJ sucks because of the cable management, electrical use and the fact that if you want to download new songs to play you need one extra step.
Don't get me wrong, I still do like my CDJs, but you've got a point with the cable management haha
3:55 hit the nail on the head right there
you can literally get 4 rp 8000mk2 with 4 dvs timecode plates and 4 dvs concorde needles for one of those lmao
Lols, indeed, the 3000 is extremely pricey. But hey, I have to admit, it does its job pretty well!
I've just paid less for a pair of (brand new) sc6000's than one cdj3000 is going for. £400 less than a pair of cdj 900. Whatever your preferences are, these prices are just insane and any pioneer purchases should come with lube
Thanks for sharing
All in all it’s a okay unit. My only concern is the placement of the hot cue buttons.
Ohhh that's another point! Thanks for sharing!
Where else were they going to stick the hot cues? Below the platter?......where a lot of DJ’s rest their palm when adjusting it (myself included)
I personally like the placement......less chance of hitting the platter accidentally imo.
Where do you get all your dj controllers at
