ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response it is described as a pleasurable tingling sensation that can be felt most commonly in the back of the scalp and down the spine but not limited to these area's.
I try to describe ASMR experience to people using something common like visiting a hairdresser, do you find the experience of someone focusing on you, the gentle touching of your hair, the sound of the scissors moving around you relaxing?
That would be a relaxing experience, watching ASMR video is like recreating that type of experience.
I believe most people can experience ASMR, to experience ASMR you need to find your trigger, common triggers will often be related to one person focusing on you or another person and watching this person focus or give them attention will trigger it.

4 years later and it still holds up as an excellent video. He always had those wrapped soap bars that had the best sound ever, and you'd fall asleep in 5 min.

I watched him live one new years eve and found out he was like within 2 hr drive from my home. I live in Australia.
The point im at with asmr is that i dont even know if i get the tingles like everybody else does but i find it really relaxing and i think i get the tingles but idk... Anybody else relate to this or is it jus me? 😂

I really wish someone would make a compilation of all his no talking video intros where he mouths words and moves his hands. I find myself replaying the beginning over and over cause the combo of hand movements and the sounds his lips makes as he tries to explain the video without really "talking" is extremely relaxing.

It is and will always be my go-to video. I just love it. After almost 6 Years I still go back every other time and it always gives me tingles. My personal favourite is the sugar, but everything is just soooooo tingly.

My favorite part in every of his no talking videos is the beginning, when he tries to explain what the video is about without talking. I just find it cute and the soft little mouth smacking is so relaxing to me.

I gotta be honest. The stuff that gives me the most tingles is how Dmitri presents himself in the beginning of each no talking video. The way he barely voices the words, the way that you can barely even tell what he's saying, but you know what he is, along with how he tries to make hand movements with it -- that's the kind of hand movement videos that I want. I don't know about any of you.

We love you! I have a sleep condition and can't sleep I get about an hour of sleep a night maybe even two but with you I am getting eight hours you have changed my life I actually owe you a lot thank you.
I hadn't sleep properly since I was 2 and a half before I stopped producing menatolin which is actual sleep itself

When I listen to trigger sounds, usually one type of sound will cause tingles for about a month then they stop. Then I switch to another type of sound and they return. This is my solution. This month crinkles do it, but last month hair brushing did. Hope this helps someone.
haha same, but for me it’s change everyday, so before I go to sleep I usually take 30mins or 1 hour to find type of sound I get tingles, when I found it I can’t fall asleep anymore

I've had tingle only once in my entire life and I've spent the last two years of my life searching for an asmr video that will give me that again, I have yet to be successful.
Try the fredsvoice asmr called tingle immunity, he doesn't show you what hes doing and they're really great. I love massageasmr, I fall asleep almost every night to Dimitris videos and am loyal, but I ventured out when I lost it too.
I barely ever get tingles but when I listen to this guy in CZcams or SoundCloud I got a lot of tingles

this is the very first ASMR video I ever watched; I remember feeling tingles like crazy, mainly from his breathing in sounds, and never feeling that crazy sensation ever again.
I still get tingles on my lower right side, sometimes only from whispering or some mouth sounds, but never through my whole body like the one time I innocently watched this video out of curiosity.

I never fall asleep while listening to asmr videos. I get relaxed and sleepy, but I always have to take my earbuds out and turn it off eventually. This was the first video that I actually fell asleep to! I woke up hours later with my earbuds in and I was amazed. Thank you thank you thank you ☺️
