Here it is! The "comparision" that you didn't know you needed. The Logitech MX Master 2S vs 3S. Battle of the mice if you will. I really like the look and feel of the 3S over the 2S. That's all my opinion but I think if you're looking for a solid computer mouse, then you really can't go wrong with either of them!

I watched your video and I upgraded from the 2S (4 years of use) to the 3S today. Something you forgot to say is that the 3S feels so much better. I have small to medium hands (I'm 5'7") but there is an immediate difference when I hold the new 3S mouse. Yes, the sound like you mentioned is not as clickily and therefore it sounds more elegant/sophisticated/refined/quiet. But the feel is also very refined in that direction. It feels lighter (which it probably is) and like a newer and better piece of technology.
Aesthetically the button on the side on the 2S probably looked more futuristic but the dummier uglier 3S version are way more intuitive and useful.
In my opinion the 3S is a better mouse worth the upgrade from the 2S. This is based on my first 30 min of experience. Take that as you like.
I do personally like the feel of the 3s over the 2s. So I definitely agree with you there!
I love my 2S and been going the road of mx since the first one :)
I've configured it to save me lots of time in writing code by using it's gestures for new-line, copy/paste, Home & End buttons, del, cut, Enter key and so on...
It made my keyboard redundant for all the editing parts and much quicker :)

I bought and returned the mx master 3s in place of the mx master 3. The main issue was that the mx master 3s left and right click had a lot lower actuation force then the mx master 3. this meant that i would accidentally left and right click while using the mouse alot. As a result i had to start semi-hovering my fingers above the button instead of being able to rest them, therefore causing significant wrist pain. I would recommend most people to go with the mx master 3 instead.

@@RellyMoorer yeah i guess it might be because i have big, thick hands so generally i like higher actuation force. felt like the weight of my fingers alone where pressing the button on the mx master 3s. so i think this definitely applies to people with bigger hands.

That click difference is wild 😂 I weirdly prefer the shape of the 2S for my hands but love the button placement on the 3S!
The click actually took some getting used to since I was used to actually hearing one
I haven't used the 2S but the feel of the 3S is not quite what I want, it sort of comes to a point. My hand is slightly pinched shut, like you would if your mouthing a hand puppet. I'd prefer my hand to rest naturally on the mouse. I do appreciate everything else about the mouse though. The side scroller is especially nice for editing, but I do believe I'll be sending it back. If anyone has a similar mouse to suggest I am all ears.

I gave in and purchased the 3S recently to replace the 2S. I might return it because it isnt as comfortable as the 2S. The 3S is a bit narrow for my liking.
I have 2s and I really need the silent click, at one point I almost ordered it but then I thought why not replace the button myself. So I ordered a silent switch button that have the same height as the one installed on my 2s and saved myself 100$. The button cost me less than 2$

I have the 2S and the Vertical. I use the Vertical to give myself a break but I much prefer the 2s (also the Vertical doesn't have fast/ultra scrolling which I love for the type of work I do). I have been considering the 3s but wasn't sure if it was worth the upgrade. You are swaying me more to do it. Probably will. Good simple to the point well produced video. Thank you.

@@RellyMoorer just picked up the 3s. I like it. Quieter than the 2s which is expected. Good updates, not sure what they can improve on for next model because this is pretty much tip top in my book.
I've got small hands but i love holding big mouse. I'm a claw gripper when the mouse is small and i can feel the stress in my hands. When i use large mouse though, my grip changes to Palm grip.

I had planned to start my channel last year but ALL my camera gear was stolen when I moved & right as i was about to get goin' & it straight up CRIPPLED ME!
I just yesterday was finally able to afford to buy a decent new camera & by decent i mean the Samsung NX1 - it's old - but I got high hopes that pup will still rock the bells & whatnot!
I will say, seein what you're tryin & all - i've watched a number of newish channels with lower production quality than yours get their channels to blow tf UP & FAST by doing a 30 day challenge or two - the main thing being that it was something that garnered interest, & the creator posted 30 days in a row (they didn't have the benefit of chopping the vids into shorts & gaining from that exposure either)

After reading a couple of the recent comments, I'd have to say that although I haven't tried the 3S, the 2S still seems right for me. As far as the comparisons I like your "not leaning too far towards either one" which makes people take all of your considerations into play....or at least you're not spoon-feeding anyone; let them make their own decision. Great review.
I think I will order another 2S as I like the 3-dot charge indicator over the single light indicator. Other than that, I really feel that the case of how the buttons are situated on the side next to the scroll are a matter of getting used to.

I have the MX vertical, I am a photo editor, and I can't get the same precision as a horizontal mouse. Hence why I am coming to see the 2s vs 3s.
I have my 2s since it came out, working and gaming with it about 10 hours a day if not more. still works as good as when it came out, easy to switch from the work laptop to the gaming pc, I am just annoyed that the button is at the bottom :) maybe there is a way to have it set up like the mx key keyboard. Oh and i got small hands and I would not switch it for a smaller mouse :)
Currently got a wired g502 and it wasn’t until a friend said… your mouse looks like it’s from the 90’s that I thought I needed a new one lol. The Master2s is currently £40 Black Friday… seems like a now brainer??

Is the side scroll on the 3s faster than the 2s? I am a film editor and my life is literally spent scrolling timelines 🥲 I find the side scrolling very slow on the 2s compared to Magic Mouse, and I have to get a new mouse asap, if it’s better in 3s, I will get it because I really prefer this mouse over apple’s. Please answer fast as this is urgent, thank you!

Hello. 1st of all nice video. I just want to ask as a new user and on a budget, am I missing a lot if I go and buy the 2s instead of a much expensive 3s?
I would say that if you got the 2S you would still love it. I equally enjoy both of them
I have the 3S. I do a lot of PC music production... (a lot is putting it mildly) I need those special keys and loved this mouse for the short while when it was working. I am not having any luck with this mouse. I upgraded to Windows 11 and after a week MX 3S disappeared - it's not there - no sign that it ever existed anywhere on the PC. Not anywhere in C drive, the registry, nowhere... I don't understand??? I did a clean reinstallation of Windows 11 on another PC and installed the mouse on there - and after a few days, again the mouse completely disappeared. I can't uninstall/reinstall because there's nothing present.
A main issue is also the Logitech website - there is nothing to download and physically place on the PC - when something goes south - there's no recourse to uninstall/reinstall. I have never had such horrible issues with a mouse before - one day it's there - and then the next it's all vanished into oblivion. I bought the MX from a top, reputable electronics chain. I keep wondering if it's the fact that I don't have Wi-Fi on these PCs? Is that the culprit?
Presently, it works, but without all the bells and whistles - it presently functions no better than my 10 Euro mouse. My review for the MX 3S - it's bloated crap.
Hmmm that's interesting. I'm using it on a macbook, but either way they should make these to where they can work on both PC and Mac with no problem.

The mouse is an essential part of the work flow, and intimate because... hands, gesture, coordination etc. LOve your descriptions of priorities. Noise matters!! USB charging matters as well.

Agreed, the left and right click are a deal breaker for me, plus i actually like the back and forward buttons, ive never had a problem with them, and as for the battery indicator i like having 3 lights instead of 1 and having the light under the thumb doesnt matter to me because the battery lasts so long, and i end up seeing the charge anyways when i turn the mouse on and off
2S Has Bluetooth connectivity. I love my MX 2S.

I don't get how people don't get annoyed with the insanely low polling rate of this mouse. It's worse than my 10 year old 10 euro wired HP mouse when it comes to responsivity. 125Hz in 2023 is not normal for a premium mouse.
Very funny indeed.. i have a broken right mouse button on my mx master 2s... i placed an ad out on the biggest trade site in my country where i ask ill pay for shipping(7dollar) and littlebit more if needed if people send me their broken mx master 2s so i can use their button... ... so fare i gotten 2 diffrent mx master 2s and both are working just fine! ?? .. does people not know these mouses can use bluetooth aswel as the usb chip that comes with the mouse? .. oh well now i have 4 working mouses of this very very good type of mouse:) .. almost like i want to keep ad up and see how many more think their mouse is useless when they loose the chip..but i wont.. i do not need a bunch of these mouses :)
