Honestly she’s a generic “pretty actress”. Dances pretty well and sings good too but a good actress? Sincerely doubt that. There are better beautiful actresses. Kajol has been the OP so far and Rani is still killing it. Nowadays the only promising actresses I see are Kriti Sanon and Kangana. Kriti is just surreal in Mimi. Kangana does her best but too much drama with her.

You were on point here. The movie was a snooze fest from the get go. First fifteen minutes and I was distracted already. Zero chemistry or depth in ranbir and shraddha's relationship. Monologues were done to death and the scenes with the family were unbearable due to relentless shouting. We get to see very little of Shraddha's POV jise end me for like ten minutes squeeze karke dikhaya to show why she did what she did. And then what? She is the one to compromise. Of course they had to end with how warm and welcoming the family is and flexible at all times to show how everything worked out. Almost as if telling the audience that the key conflict instigated from shraddha's insecurities meant nothing.

For the first time I fully disagree with shan's review of this movie. Leaving aside the obvious plot hole, the whole movie was a breath of fresh air carefully designed for the north Indian pallete who had got tired of watching South Indian cinema for entertainment. Itne time baad itni achi Hindi movie aayi hai, please don't bash it shan.
Totally. The first half of the movie was like an endless train of chape dialogues. The script is horrendous. However the last phase of the second half is nice, that is, if you survive the first half. I am being honest, it was a decent movie. Ofc, there were many loopholes...plus the movie was very stretched. But I kind of enjoyed it. Jo pehle wale romantic movies hotey they...which had many loopholes...this movie is similar to them

So by the trailer, they told us that it'll be over the top and I watched it in the same way and loved it! It had to be over the top and it was!! The phone voice is logical bcuz ranbir said kaise pehchanta, kon maan sakta hai and it doesn't go so long! He understands in the next phone call! Only one negative point was the whole baby shower part, it was unnecessarily dragged but it was the way Shraddha knows about Ranbir! Other than that, the punch lines, the performances, the scenes, everything was perfect!

I found it entertaining mainly because I had zero expectations from a Luv Ranjan movie. One does not have to watch a movie which makes sense all the time in all scenes. Definitely a one time watch. Also, they don’t start flirting back after a week of their break up because they meet during their friend’s baby shower.

As a girl, i found the ending of this movie pretty toxic and unfair to ranbir's character and his family actually. Is this what they release on womens day lol Overall i enjoyed the movie, it was the ending that ruined it for me. there were definitely some parts which seemed wrong to me. 1. the relationship moved way too fast, and was unrealistic. They're literally together because they find each other hot lol there's no real moments of bonding or communication in the movie. And Ranbir takes her straight to meeting his family without thinking if they're even a real couple lol 2. Shraddhas character starts this rant in the end, where she slaps ranbir multiple times and basically gaslights him into feeling bad and he has to convince her that he and his family are nice, all because of her miscommunication. The whole drama starts with her only lying, he just plays along waiting for when she'll tell him the truth. 3. What his family does finally at the end to shraddha at the airport to convince her is just..... 🤦🏻♀️ I hate them both in the movie lol but in the end, i just feel kind of bad for ranbirs character and his family
This was a really cringe movie overall. The terrible monologues, cookie-cutter generic rom com characters, and the predictable climax really did not do it for me. When this movie got done with, I was left with a terrible headache, far worse than any hangover; it was like a brain aneurysm. Only Shraddha in that white bikini was nice. I have PTSD now, and I don't know if I'll go watch another Bollywood film again! I wanted to leave the theatre during the interval, but I thought ok maybe the small twist could be interesting. Ranbir's voice and monologues were too over the top. I reckon Karthik could have been a better fit in this movie as was noticeable from his brief cameo.

To be honest, I really loved the movie. I don't think they wanted this to be relatable in any sense but in my opinion TJMM is probably the best romcom I've seen in recent years.

So by the trailer, they told us that it'll be over the top and I watched it in the same way and loved it! It had to be over the top and it was!! The phone voice is logical bcuz ranbir said kaise pehchanta, kon maan sakta hai and it doesn't go so long! He understands in the next phone call! Only one negative point was the whole baby shower part, it was unnecessarily dragged but it was the way Shraddha knows about Ranbir! Other than that, the punch lines, the performances, the scenes, everything was perfect!

I found it entertaining mainly because I had zero expectations from a Luv Ranjan movie.
One does not have to watch a movie which makes sense all the time in all scenes. Definitely a one time watch. Also, they don’t start flirting back after a week of their break up because they meet during their friend’s baby shower.
The problem is that none of the movies don't make any sense. Indian movie industry is getting dumber and dumber day by day.

As a girl, i found the ending of this movie pretty toxic and unfair to ranbir's character and his family actually. Is this what they release on womens day lol
Overall i enjoyed the movie, it was the ending that ruined it for me. there were definitely some parts which seemed wrong to me. 1. the relationship moved way too fast, and was unrealistic. They're literally together because they find each other hot lol there's no real moments of bonding or communication in the movie. And Ranbir takes her straight to meeting his family without thinking if they're even a real couple lol
2. Shraddhas character starts this rant in the end, where she slaps ranbir multiple times and basically gaslights him into feeling bad and he has to convince her that he and his family are nice, all because of her miscommunication. The whole drama starts with her only lying, he just plays along waiting for when she'll tell him the truth. 3. What his family does finally at the end to shraddha at the airport to convince her is just..... 🤦🏻♀️
I hate them both in the movie lol but in the end, i just feel kind of bad for ranbirs character and his family

This was a really cringe movie overall. The terrible monologues, cookie-cutter generic rom com characters, and the predictable climax really did not do it for me. When this movie got done with, I was left with a terrible headache, far worse than any hangover; it was like a brain aneurysm. Only Shraddha in that white bikini was nice. I have PTSD now, and I don't know if I'll go watch another Bollywood film again! I wanted to leave the theatre during the interval, but I thought ok maybe the small twist could be interesting. Ranbir's voice and monologues were too over the top. I reckon Karthik could have been a better fit in this movie as was noticeable from his brief cameo.

Joint family system is perfectly alright. But girls have parents too, why should girls have to dump their parents and move? Ladkiyon ke ma Baap ne unhe chor Diya tha bachpan mein? Let’s apply this movies logic to a girls story. Girls can happily stay in joint families with someone else’s parents but will a boy ever stay with her parents or keep her parents in their house? Let’s make a fcking movie about that.
