    Arizona cheated but callie has a child with mark and if that character had not died she would have cheated on arizona for sure because after all he was her sex buddy.
    callie tries to dominate arizona and that's not good. And after this scene she insults arizona in front of the whole fraternity.....that is surely worst than cheating.

    The way Callie says "How could you do this" is the most heart wrenching thing ever. The emotion is soo raw and real. In that moment you can see and hear just how broken Callie is. This makes me want to cuss Arizona out and I don't even cuss. How dare she blame Callie. How dare act like a victim.

    I highly doubt Arizona and Callie will come back from this. What Arizona said was so horrible. Callie not only lost Mark, she had to put up with Arizona's depression for months. She had to deal with the fact that Arizona kept blaming her for the leg. Even with all the crap Callie was put through, she never left Arizona. Just because she wasn't on the plane, doesn't mean she didn't suffer.

    I just have to say Sara processed those emotions perfectly! I could write an epistle on every emotion she displayed in those few seconds. Callie is trying to process all Arizona is saying, you can see the confusion the hurt the pain and then in that last frame when she dropped her eyebrows u saw her anger. Her emotional check out. That final frame said "I am done"... Can't wait to see how season 10 plays out. This scene broke my heart for Callie everyone I watched it. I felt for her deeply.

    I think Arizona in this particular scene, diverted the issue, from the "I-cheated-on-my-wife" to "you-cut-my-leg" part. Callie has no intention of cutting her leg. Callie even fought with Hunt to keep Arizona's leg from being amputated. Callie's reason for cutting Robbin's leg is justifiable. Its is her life (Arizona's) that was at stake at that time.
    I understand the hardships that Arizona have been through but cheating on her faithful and supportive wife will not be justifiable.

    Me too. I'm really looking forward to the next season. Arizona has to suffer, as Callie suffered all these seasons. I don't understand how Shonda thinks she can blame this infidelity on Arizona's leg.
    Callie was faced with two options, have her wife/mother of her child live without a leg or die. I think if we were faced with this decision, it'd be clear.
    Arizona didn't consider Callie when she wanted kids, she left her and went to Africa, she's now cheated on her and has the balls to blame this on Callie?
    Callie lost her best friend, father of her child and her wife.

    This was brilliant. Jessica Capshaw acted so well this season, and if you paid attention at all to the progression Arizona was making this season, you saw something like this coming. She accepted that Callie was trying to save her life, but she never forgave Callie, and that kind of resentment doesn't just go away. It's not right because they're married, but it's justifiable, and it's both party's fault (much more Arizona's, but Callie did have a blind eye here). Now, can it be fixed?

  • @1814natali
    @1814natali Před 11 lety

    Truly these minutes were losses. AZ is lost herself in his own bitterness and pain without measure their words were like daggers aimed at the heart of Callie.

  • @1814natali
    @1814natali Před 11 lety

    I understand that all those words and feelings that AZ showed, she comes from the chapter bringing 9x03-04. After these chapters she again said nothing of what she felt, but she chose not to ease the relationship with Callie. All she keeps resentment is a Denture space can not fill. She says leg, I think it is the heart that she no longer has. AZ chose the easy way out is to blame the other for not taking charge of their own mistakes and chose the most hurtful words were not words, were knives.

    This is deeper than "omg, i miss my leg". This is Arizona attempting to find herself again and she can't. She'd rather Callie have left her to die than make her half a person. It's a huge betrayal as far as Arizona can tell, and in some ways its a bit selfish of Arizona, but she's dealing with grief and PTSD that she's kept bottled up all season long, and this cheating incident is just a catalyst to let Arizona express her frustrations and anger. It just sucks that Callie was cheated on...again

    I agree so much! When Arizona said Callie didn't understand, all she didn't understand was the plane crash experience. But she had to deal with saving Arizona's life while making a decision that she'd get blamed for forever, losing sex in "five months because of that damn leg", losing Mark (who, as you said, was basically her life and always was) & the one she chose to spend all of her life with. To cheat like that was more than cruel, and Arizona is just making excuses by bringing up the crash

    I understand that she did not have the same experience but that doesn't mean that she hasn't suffered her own emotional trauma that is fundamentally entwined with the plane crash, she said "we survived" not because she wants credit, which is what Arizona implied, but because their marriage, their relationship survived all of the emotional traumas that sprung from that crash, because they're meant to be a team but Arizona is very individual and doesn't understand the concept of a team imho.

  • @heavyhand10
    @heavyhand10 Před 11 lety

    Arizona's point is that Callie, this entire season, has essentially acted like she was on the plane. Look back over the season and you can see it. Even in this scene, Callie said that everything that "we survived ... the plane crash." Objectively, Callie didn't have to survive the plane crash because she wasn't on it. Subjectively, yes, she feels like she was there and she lost a lot because of it, but she did not have the same experience that Arizona, Mark, Meredith, Derek, and Cristina did

    So sad this last episode. I felt the pain. I could not believe A cheated on C and she loves C so much. Now, reading all the comments I realize that A needs help. She was bottling up her pain inside trying to be normal again, but nothing will ever be the same, because she experienced trauma! She cheated with the first person who acknowledged her one leg and looked past it. Callie for her, took away her womanhood, her beauty and the woman she slept with gave her back some dignity & control.

    Arizona mocking Callie, "I lost Mark, you almost died, you weren't on the freakin plane." I think Arizona would have prefered that Callie was on it. I didn't see anything were Callie pretended she was there; she survived the plane crash meaning she had loved ones that died and almost died and the decisions that had to be made after, etc...
    That was down right cruel of Arizona and she will never stop blaming Callie. Callie needs to walk away, move on, and Arizona gets no parental rights.

    I, as all of you, are sadden about the storyline. But it does ring true, as to dealing with something so profound. I think the next season we will see (1) base on a previous episode when Arizona asked for papers saying the baby was hers. A custody battle. Also, (2) Arizona will discover that Karev cut off her leg not Callie. can't remember the episode, but right after Arizona discovered her leg was gone, Callie told not to tell her he did it. there are many story lines can be used.

    Shonda is extremely strategic, she knows what to do with these characters. First, keeping us the audience on edge, then acknowledging ptsd and its effects. She is also teaching us an important lesson, things might appear perfect on the surface but might be broken inside and it can take just one anomaly to set things on course. You can't just brush things under a rug, you have to deal with it. Arizona needs therapy, I think somehow we and Callie had forgotten her trauma, but she didn't.

    Just mustered up the courage to watch this scene again, last night was way too much. All I have to say is, Arizona cheating is the LEAST of calzona's troubles. Arizona is still struggling with this leg loss, and this story this season for her is about coping and getting back on track. Yes she had amazing support from Callie, but she's not and can't get back to normal. The big problem here was obviously lack of communication and expression of true feelings.

    I didn't say that Callie didn't suffer on her own - I said the opposite. My point is that Arizona, still dealing with her own PTSD still has this anger towards Callie, something they both thought that they were past. You can see it here, initially Arizona sounds very apologetic for what happened, then Callie brings up the plane and Arizona explodes. Then Arizona says "oh!" and starts to sob. She didn't even realize she's still angry until that moment.

    I know that Arizona was the one in the plane, that she was hurt, that she lost her leg, but Callie lost something too. She lost her best friend, her baby's father, she had to choose between her wife's live and her wife's leg. What was she supposed to do? Was she supposed to save the leg and let her wife die? I think she made the only choice she could make, the only rational choice, and she saved Arizona's life. I don't understand why Arizona doesn't see that. And yes, she can be hurt, but she -

    My problem isn't the fact that she cheated, people cope in hurtful ways sometimes. My big problem with AZ is that her leg seems to mean more to her than her family, her friends and her actual life. For someone who has actually experienced the impact of great loss she seems to still have very little concept of the value of the people around her. Putting Callie in the position of having to chose whether to save her life or her leg was unfair; she pretty much set Callie up to be the bad guy.

    I think what everyone is failing to get out of this is that maybe Arizona would have preferred to die than to be without her leg. And THAT is a huge deal.

    I'm all about this show and Revenge. It's going to suck having to wait so long for the next season. But, i guess now I have time to catch up on my anime.
    Callie buzzed through an entire deck of emotions in this scene. When her brows dropped I was thinking "well, the excrement has collided with the air rotation unit".
    I love Callie and Arizona as a couple, but I won't be horribly devastated if they don't stay together. Grey's has, in my opinion, realistically portrayed life events as they

    Me too, I am a believer of Calzona as well...I think Callie could hook up with a man, but it is just an matter of time - they will find each other again...

    People have to remember that Arizona has PTSD it doesn't go away over night. So for her to bring it up again and again is totally understandable. Like the way Cristina talked about the woods, it was prob just if not worse for az because she could move. It jacks what she did but she not a horrible person she had a horrible thing happen to her

    Callie should show Arizona her file without telling her whose it is then ask her to make a call based on facts, then she will know the choice that Callie had to make. Callie's right, she lost Arizona from the moment that she woke up without a leg. If you look back through the episodes, Arizona hasnt been the same since the crash and Callie has been the punching bag ever since. I dont agree with whats happening but its a testament to the skill of these two actresses to play such in depth roles.

    It's more than the leg. When it came down to cutting it or losing her callie needed to act like her wife and not her doctor. We are all different, but arizona (if you watch the car crash episode) wanted to save the baby even if it meant losing callie because thats what callie wanted and her being the person she is, she respected her wishes. I'm team calzona because this isn't over yet and i have hope for them, but in that moment callie wasn't the best wife according to arizona.

    Callie is too classy for that. Remember when Izzie was all prepared for a fist fight in the cafeteria after Callie found out she was cheating with George? But she just wanted to talk....Callie has dignity and she does deserve better than "player" Arizona...In some of the fanfic Erica comes back to comfort Callie....

    PTSD can really change yourlife. 35 years lives with 2 legs but in split second u lost 1. Imagine that!! Frustration, anger, betrayal, incompetent, useless, ashamed - building up bit by bit inside u, nuthin can stop it when it explode. Its common sense Az mad at Callie for choping off her leg. But if Callie really a good wife, she should know that Az have long gone. Az died et the moment she wakes up with 1 leg.

    Sandra Oh announced that she will def. not be back after this season, if there is another season and I think Patrick Dempsey is only signed on for this next season. So I really will be surprised if this isn't the end of Grey's.

    This is heartbreaking! Callie is so hurt that she can't even respond :'(
    Oh fuck, I feel so bad for Callie, she looks so broken, and when she says: "Apparently I lost you." in such a defeated voice I couldn't help but cry.
    She deserves so much better! She's been there for Arizona throughout it all, and all she gets in return is crap.

    And to be honest, I would not want Callie back to be with a man. I prefer to have a time, a long transition time, to keep the grief of losing her wife, her marriage, and that will show more next to Sophia. Although it would not be wrong flirted with other people in the face of Az. Not for revenge, but to show that she continues.
