- What hidden treasure will the tides of sand reveal?
I started this in 2011, yup. The original composition is 4 years old, However, I've tinkered with this one now and then for the past years, and decided to finally continue this track this week. After polishing it and mastering it closer to my current standards, I made the rest of this in one sitting. Now, 286 patterns later, I am finally somewhat with it! Enough to share it anyways..
And sorry about the low volume. I made this in a strange way back then, so It was nearly impossible to make it any louder without ruining the song.

To me, this song puts the picture of high speed racing in the desert,through rundown pyramids and setting off booby traps to disable your opponents. All the while, the creators of the race shift the sand,pyramids,and statues in the area,which in a good way can affect your opponents in a bad way,and at the same time cause you to have problems down the road,quite literally.Jumping from statue to statue,you race to the end of the track to claim the 1st place.

This sounds like a high speed chase, either chasing down someone evil or not with what you need or being chased. Going through deserts and desert cities. Very cinematic shots, very pretty.

Aw dude! this is so rad! You nailed that eastern sitar type melody :D I really like how it started off with a goa trance vibe then started to gather it's theme elements as the instruments where intorduced. I don't think you've ever done anything like this in the past, maybe something desert themed but never so spot on in terms of instruent and melody structure. Plus I see the was a fine opportunity to use the EW choir :D

The hot beating sun felt scorching against whatever skin you had exposed. The desert sand burned the soles of your sandals. You knew that you needed to get out of here to get to the trading market. You always had to walk lengthy amount of miles to go back and forth to the trading market. Suddenly your vision got a bit fuzzier, and you saw something mystical appear out of nowhere. It was an oasis. The verdant plantation seemed to be vigorous. The water waving as if to beckon you to come towards it like a magnet. You perceived that if the oasis was artificially simulated by mind and you went to it, you wouldn't have enough stamina to make it to your destination. On the other hand, if you decided not to take the gamble, you might not get another opportunity. You took a deep breath and chose.
Kudos to you Waterflame! You really know how to make a good song! I am an avid supporter of you and always will continue to be!
(P.S. Do you plan on finishing your Dex Zero game? It seems like it would be pretty fun! :D)

The Hunter surged across the desert. He was close to an Ummah tomb, he felt it in his gut as surely as the coffee and donuts swirled around in his stomach.The question was, where, in the endless sea of sand, could he find it?
Unfortunately for him, there was a group of locally hired thugs in hot pursuit, though he didn't know it, he soon would.
A laser disintegrated his hat, causing him to curse, and turn back. Just what he didn't want; Locally hired thugs. His adversary, Sir Baron von Gentleman, was near.
The thugs were easy to dispatch, all he needed was a whole lotta sand, and a bit of good luck. Fortunately, the engine of the thugs' car stopped, and they were left to shoot at him while cursing their fortune in their Desert tongue.
Even more unfortunate was the massive scorpions ahead. Their black carapace gleamed in the sunlight, while their stingers looked sharp and dripped lethal poison. These looked like they could withstand a good boot crushing, sadly enough. So he was forced to bob and weave between each of them, while they snapped their pincers futilely, and thrashed their tails around, causing poison to fall onto the sand, and sizzle menacingly. While these were easy enough to dodge (The Adventurer was experienced with these giant insects, he had fought giant Praying Mantises with a paper clip!), even harder were the mummy warriors.
The mummies looked old enough. Their linen wrappings were a sicking brown, and where their eyes should be were merely empty sockets. Also, even from a distance, and accelerating quite quickly, they smelled of rotten flesh. They also happened to shoot magic lasers, as evidenced by a loud humming (Audible over the roar of a diesel engine, no less), and a sudden blast of green energy. This required the use of a handy dandy *mirror* to deflect back the lasers back at the mummies. This situation was only difficult because he was, of course, on a moving vehicle. And it was going at least 90 miles an hour. This didn't stop him however, as he was able to deflect them right back with pinpoint accuracy.
Racing past all of these, his Adventure sense detected his prize. Finally, the entire tomb complex, starting with an innocuous looking cactus, of all things. The Adventurer had already done this, put hand in obvious trap, reveal big surprise, and fight big surprise to get in. What he didn't count on was Sir Baron von Gentleman to be the surprise....
"Nyahahahaha, Joe Adventurer, we meet again!", the aristocratic fiend said to his adversary.
"Yeah, what, did you expect me to get killed? Also you're standing on a trap"
"Nonsense! I know tra-" The baron was instantly struck by a massive magic pendulum, causing his body to split in half, and spew bodily fluids everywhere.
Ah, the Adventurer thought. Finally, my prize. He descended the unnecessarily long staircase, and opened up the door covered in graffiti and hieroglyphs. Inside, was only a papyrus note. What it said was basically "Congratulations! You found my tomb! Please accept an IOU for many units of gold. I'm sorry its not here"
He promptly hurled out his donuts.

Wow! Completely agreeing with rignik there: I absolutely love how this track evolves and changes as it plays! Although, I feel I should have seen this coming, it's a Waterflame track after all :D It's like it takes you with it on a journey through the world it creates as the music plays! I love the use of different (desert inspired? Not sure that's exactly the word I was looking for) instruments.
