    too much background noise of the engine. Should have shutted it down. Can't hear some of the words.

    That is NOT the way I was taught.
    The shackle needs to be able to slide on the bridle for turns.
    With the eye in the middle the load in a turn is all on one side, either the cleat or transom tie downs.

      So would you just put the shackle on the line with out the cats paw?

      @@captainoblivionthicc1004 The shackle goes on the tow vessel bridle not the towed vessel bridle
