    This channel is golden if you want to learn about growing dragon fruit. I myself should receive the seeds in a couple of days hoping to start off well. I live in the Czech republic which doesn’t have the best climate but my idea is to take the plant out for the late spring and summer while having it indoors for times when it’s cold outside (I don’t have a greenhouse). Any tips help.

    Hi Richard, how old is this dragonfruit? It sure has a lot of flowers/fruits. I’ve been binge watching your videos getting ideas on how to have lots of fruits next season. Thank you for your awesome videos. Learning a lot.

    • @GraftingDragonFruit
      @GraftingDragonFruit  Před 5 lety +3

      Hi May Fontanez, this dragon fruit plant is now 5 years old. This is the 4th year it has produce me flower/fruits. Each year it just produces me more and more. The biggest factor that helped me get a lot of fruit each season is to prune any branch that was blocked from sunlight and fertilize with chicken manure. Pruning helps them focus energy on branches that only matter and in return they will pop you out many many buds. The chicken fertilize will continue to give it the slow releasing nutrient to help it sustain through the season. Once I see that buds start to barley form. I add an inch of chicken manure on the top of the soil and within a few weeks you’ll see it start to grow buds everywhere.

      @GraftingDragonFruit  Před 5 lety +4

      You’re welcome Loann, normally when I see buds start to pop out. I immediately apply 1 inch of chicken manure to the top base of my soil. This will give it the slow release nutrients throughout the blooming season.
