  • Om Sai Nath, Pranams to everyone.
The place we are seeing in the video is a village called Dhoopkheda. This is the birth place as well
as the location of the samadhi of Chandbhai Patil. This place is the samadhi of Chandbhai Patil.
The incidents of Chandbhai Patil and his connection with Baba are described in Sri Sai Satcharita.
Chandbhai Patil is the village official or Patil of Dhoopkheda village. He loses beloved mere or
female horse. He searches for the horse at several places. He once comes near a mango tree and
sees a young fakir. The fakir calls him by name and asks about the saddle in his hand. When
Chandbhai says he is looking for a lost horse, the fakir asks him to search nearby and Chandbhai
finds his lost horse. The young fakir under the mango tree is our Baba and this incident is
described in detail in Satcharita. Please read Sri Sai Satcharita.
We are now at Dhoopkheda village where Chandbhai Patil was born and grew up, and it is also
the place of his samadhi. Baba is here before coming to Shirdi for the second time. After the
mango tree Leela, Baba comes to Dhoopkheda with Chandbhai Patil and the horse and stays at
his house for some time. The house we show at the beginning of the video is the house of
Chandbhai Patil and that is where Baba stayed. During his stay at Shirdi for 60 years, Baba had
visited just one house - the house of Kushal Chand at Rahata. He had not entered any other
house. Before coming to Shirdi, Baba had stayed at Chandbhai Patil's house at Dhoopkheda.
When Baba was at Dhoopkheda, he had sat under a Neem tree here. We showed the Neem tree
some time back and will show again. There's a stone under the tree and Baba sat on the stone.
We are now at Chandbhai Patil's samadhi. Chandbhai Patil is a spark. It manifestation of Sai and
his Leelas started with the spark of Chandbhai Patil. Of course, Baba had determined all the
events and the role people play during his avatar. And, the spark for Baba coming to Shirdi and
the subsequent Leelas was Chandbhai Patil. Baba's Leelas started with Chandbhai Patil - the
Leelas of pointing his lost mare to him and creating water and fire for chillum under the mango
    tree.
This is Chandbhai Patil's samadhi. As a sign of respect for him, we had brought a decorated
cloth, flowers, and fragrances such as attar. We offered these to him and we felt very happy.
Near the samadhi is a Neem tree and Baba had sat under the tree. Under the tree, He used a
stone as an asan. They are preserving that place, both the tree as well as the asan, well. From
here, Baba went to Shirdi along with Chandbhai's marriage party. And, at Shirdi, Baba stayed for
60 years. During those 60 years, if Baba had visited a house and had taken asan there, it was
Kushal Chand's house at Rahata. Another place, Baba stayed was at Chandbhai's house here,
before coming to Shirdi. Hence, there are only two houses, Baba had entered and had taken
asan. He had not entered any other house.
Baba also went to Nimgaon to visit Dengle. Baba did not enter Dengle's house but sat under a
Neem tree near Dengle's house. There is a Neem tree near Dengle's house. There's a raise
platform and a Tulsi Vrindavan. Baba sat there. He did not enter Dengle's house.
So, we are now at Chandbhai Patil's samadhi. In addition, Baba has taken bhiksha from five
house here too. There is a river called Yelganga river near the samadhi. Baba had taken bath in
the river. We have taken videos of the river also.
This is Chandbhai Patil's samadhi. They are preserving it well. We felt very happy. Chandbhai Patil
is the first spark in Baba's avatar. Near the samadhi, the river Yelganga flows. We are going there.
During Baba's time, River Yelganga had lot of water. Now, after more than 150 years, there is
much less water. Baba's Mahasamadhi was more than 100 years ago and Baba was at Shirdi for
60 years. Hence he was at this place more than 160 years ago. At that time, the river was full of
water and Baba had taken bath in the river when he was staying with Chandbhai Patil. Now the river has dried up a lot and there is very little water. During monsoon season, there is more water.
    The river is called Yelganga.
Today's video is about Chandbhai Patil's samadhi and the places around it. The Neem tree we
see now around the samadhi is the tree under which Baba sat. Near the samadhi flows river
Yelganga. We are now going to see the river.
In tomorrow's video, we will see Chandbhai Patil's house and the articles he had used.
This is river Yelganga. There's very little water and it is mostly sand. Baba had taken bath in this
river. Before coming to Shirdi, Baba was at this place with Chandbhai Patil. He had taken bath in
the river and had sat under the Neem tree. They are preserving it well.
