Yo sky, can you maybe make a short video comparing lens cap on vs lens cap off? I would be really interested to see if it makes a difference in a real world setting. If yes, what an amazing find!

It doesn't, its about 1/3rd of a stop brighter.I think the purpose of the "lens hood" is for use with ND filters, which now friction fit onto the lens cover/lens hood rather than screwing on instead like on the Action 3.

Bonjour du Québec. I'm not a fan of the old 4:3 ratio but your explaination convinced me.
As of now, I had deals on Hero11 and Action3 (both combo) for a bit of snorkeling. I'm going to keep the action 3 for a few reasons. One of the thing I dislike is you have to install an app and register before being able to use it. Very shaddy...

I love that it doesn’t divide the footage every 5 minutes! Yeah! I mean, these are action cameras, their purpose is not to flog for long periods of time, but it’s great to have the option of doing so.

Thanks for the great tips! I have been looking back and forth a few weeks to choose my first action camera. And, I end up ordering the action 4 since the pocket 3 and go 3 are nowhere to be found in my place. Now, just so hyped to touch my action 4 lol
I read somewhere that USB C to TRS will provide a superior signal vs USB to TRRS. I’ve tried TRRS and the sound def was subpar.

The extra lens hood maybe good in sunny weather. Have noticed that compared to Gopro's the Action does have some wild lens flare at times. Yet to see a video that shows if the lens hood helps prevent lens flare vs the stock glass lens cover.

I avoid his video clips because he behaves too foolishly and distracts me. I struggled a bit to watch this one because I wanted to see what he wanted to demonstrate about sound recording. If he acted less foolishly, he would definitely have more viewers because this type of videos is watched mostly by 15-year-old kids.

I just cant take a chance on GoPro anymore - they have all overheated on me during use in my plane and so far the Osmo Action 3’s I own have never overheated and I seem to have better battery life with them. Just received my Action 4 and cant wait to add it to my arsenal.

Gorpo 12 will be easily better. I really wanted the DJI 4 to be at least as good as hero 11

I haven't seen a review where the DJI video looks as good as the GP. If the GP12 does have a bigger sensor and if they add a mic jack to the camera, it's going to be hard to beat.

well, GoPro 12 came out. And ever single review has Action4 as the Winner. Guess what Im buying. And in low light it blows away GoPro 12 Not saying GoPro is bad. just not as good.

It can probably work with the Comica USB-C Mics that come in the Airpods like case.

Question for you… I am not tech savvy and just ordered this camera to film my elk hunt. I got a shoulder strap mount for my backpack in order to edit on my phone with CapCut or something like that Should I stick to 1080 P 30 frames per second or would it be much better to do 2.7 K and what other settings Would you recommend that I could just lock in place and not have to worry about?

Two months ago, I bought an Osmo Action 3, since the beginning it had a focus issue. I took it to the authorized assistance, after inspection by the technician, he found that it had a focus issue, I left it under warranty, after two weeks they returned the camera without fixing it and did not give me another one. Advice, do not buy DJI brand camera, you will lose your money. Thanks
