    Contrary to earlier comments, Paul Weller played BASS on these tunes (he owned the Hofner that Foxton later played above). The lead guitar is Steve Brookes and the rhythm guitarist is Dave Waller, who left at the tail end of '73. This session is detailed in John Reed's Weller bio "My Ever Changing Moods". Half a dozen acetates were made, now valued at £2,500+ in the Record Collector price guide!

      @@numbnutone Depends how much you like them I guess. The Jam was part of my childhood. £2500 not a huge amount in record collecting if you can afford it .

      @@fwankman145circa '73-'74. Their later demos from '75-'76 are considerably more accomplished than this.

    Bruce Foxton used a Hofner?

      Yeah , Paul gave it to him, because originally Bruce was a guitar player and didn't have his own when they decided to swap . Paul was the original bass player before this.
