9:00 Only devotees (Hindus) are allowed into Pashupatinath Temple. But tourists can roam the outside of the temple ground. That is why there is a ticket for tourists and it is free for devotees who must remove shoes.

1) Even if she paid for ticket she can't go inside main temple that is why she can wear shoes. And as of you can go inside the temple you have to remove shoes.
2) foreigners (non hindu) does not come to worship, they are for visit. And pashupatinath is not just only a temple, its religious and heritage site under UNESCO so its obvious they need to pay.
3) Its Aryaghat not shamshanghat.
4) Most people do not use data. And those who use, they buy limited data pack only when needed.
Suggestion:- if any cofuse, clear it by asking any locals about it but don't stay unclear it makes different impact on you and your viewers.

Well its listed under UNESCO as a World Heritage site so it is common that you have to get a ticket as a foreigner. You were not asked for ticket cause you look like a resident of Nepal so they did not ask you for the ticket😅

For nepali and indian people visiting pashupatinath is free. Its a world heritage site so other countries people need to pay $9. There are all together 5 world heritage site inside kathmandu valley.

Nice rule.. foreigner dont go inside the temple with Bhakti. For them it is just a touristic place. So ticket must be on. But A Sanatani go there with different mentality (bhakti). Same for shoes. I saw many foreigners disrespect of rules they put shoes in their begs and go inside of temples.. so be open minded if you cant change their mentality so they can not do any stupidity like putting shoes in begs and go in garbh greh with beg. It is just an example to show what mentality they have. Npthing is bad in it becoz they are not same as we. Same for us we dont have holy mindset if we go in church etc. For other religion places are just touristic place.

that bike rider must have dropped your GF at the eastern side (on the other side of the river or temple) as non-Hindus are not allowed inside the temple precinct. This rule has been going on for centuries, You were asked to take off your footwear as being a Hindu it's assumed that you will step inside the temple. There's no place to takeoff off your shoes right at the temple's entrance. And by the way Pashupatinath Temple is a UNESCO world heritage site therefore the entrance fee...Hindus are exempted from the fee as it's a place of worship for them.. In other temples in the city, everybody is allowed
Well brother, I would suggest you interact with some locals and do some findings before making comments based on half baked information. The entry charge of Rs. 1000 is for foreigners, that too just to visit the premises (non-hindus are not allowed inside the main temple even after paying Rs. 1000). Hindus (Including Indians) are allowed inside the temple and they do not need to pay any entry fee. Its better to know and acknowledge the site rules before making random comments that portray sacred places in low light.
