This still puzzles me to this day
For anyone wondering, the girl being sacrificed to the Kraken couldn't return home despite being saved.
This is because she is a mermaid and was pretending to be human since she was a child because she wanted some human company.
The old lady showed her with love and wanting to give back to the village, the mermaid decided to sacrifice herself for them.
After being saved, the mermaid reveals that she wants to return to the ocean and request that the player tells the village she died.
Personally, I think the ocean is literally commanding her to return now that she is an adult.
As the final line of dialogue between her and the player is: "The waters are calling."
Damn. That's quite a bit of lore.
Saddly... the kraken sacrifice his life to help his mermaid friend just to make sure the false menace can looks more true.

Baarogue is a kind wizard. He kills everyone in the castle without destroying the entire place
Baalogue must have dropped out of magic school real early if his only spells (floating not counted) are throwing weird lightning bolts and turning into an overweight dragon.

Apparently, game designers back then didn't know how to make dragons seem threatening. It feels like I've played so many games in my days where the Dragons Were complete pushovers.

i remember spending a lot quarters in the last level and never beaten this game in the arcades. I didn't finally beat the game until i had the game in Mame emulator years later

For those who are confused that in this video, the Worm boss shows up right after the blue-haired lady is leading you through a doorway, that Worm boss IS NOT her! The blue-haired lady is, instead, a mermaid. Not only is this mermaid NOT a villain; she will gift you with the Scales of a Mermaid for rescuing her from the Kraken.
P.S. The Crawling Kelp boss reminds me of Plantera (one of the bosses in "Terraria")!

Que lastima que en el sega genesis el ninja y la sacerdotisa no son jugables tambien,street of rage tiene 3 personajes jugables y el juego es de a 2 jugadores a menos que..... tambien sea de a 3,the lost vikings resulto ser de 3 jugadores porque solo lo alcanzaba a jugar de a 2 siempre hasta que configure el emu de sega para 4 jugadores por los de puzzles.
