  • Hi Guys,
I am Sakshi, a mother of a 7-month-old baby, and in this video, I am documenting my solo journey from the United States to India. I am showcasing the challenges and experiences of traveling with a young infant, and how I navigated the journey all by myself. The video begins with my preparation, from packing my bags to making arrangements for my baby, and then follows my journey from start to finish. I faced various obstacles along the way, including security checks and flight transfers, but I was determined to make the trip a success. This video is an account of my love and resilience as a mother, and a testament to the fact that with proper planning and preparation, traveling with a young child can be a memorable and enriching experience. Whether you're a first-time traveler or a seasoned traveler, I hope this video will provide you with some valuable insights and inspiration.

      Hi Priyanka,
Glad you liked the video. My daughter was primarily breastfed on her demand. I also nursed her during takeoff and landing to prevent discomfort from the changes in air pressure. It's also possible to offer a pacifier to a baby during those times. Feel free to ask if you need more information.

One of family members is going fly from India to Singapore. Could you please guide me with full details about how to fly with an infant

    • @dope_duhoons
      @dope_duhoons  Před 6 měsíci +1

Certainly! Flying with an infant can be a bit challenging, but with the right preparation and knowledge, it can be a smooth experience. Here's a guide on how to fly with an infant from India to Singapore:
      Book Your Flight:
Choose a flight that suits your infant's schedule. Consider booking a flight during their nap time or when they are generally more relaxed.
      Travel Documents:
Ensure that both you and your infant have valid passports.
Check if your infant requires a visa to enter Singapore, depending on their nationality.
      Airline Policies:
Contact the airline you plan to use to learn about their specific policies regarding traveling with infants. Some airlines may have age and weight restrictions for infants.
      Seating:
When booking your flight, consider reserving a bassinet seat. These seats typically have a special baby cot that can be attached to the bulkhead.
      Packing:
Pack all necessary items, such as diapers, baby wipes, formula, bottles, baby food, baby clothes, and any medication your infant might need.
Bring a change of clothes for both you and your baby in case of spills or accidents.
      Security Check:
Be prepared for the security check. You may need to remove your baby from a carrier or stroller when going through the security checkpoint.
      Car Seat or Bassinet:
Depending on your child's age and the airline's policies, you may be allowed to bring an FAA-approved car seat on board.
If you have reserved a bassinet seat, make sure it's properly installed.
      Feeding:
If you are breastfeeding, consider feeding your baby during takeoff and landing to help with ear pressure.
If you're using formula, bring pre-measured portions in a container to make feeding easier during the flight.
      Entertainment:
Bring a few small, quiet toys to keep your infant occupied. The in-flight entertainment system may not have suitable content for very young children.
      Safety:
Ensure that your baby is securely fastened in their seat or bassinet, especially during turbulence.
      Comfort:
Dress your infant in comfortable, layered clothing.
Bring a light blanket or swaddle to keep your baby cozy.
      Ear Pressure:
Changes in air pressure during takeoff and landing can cause discomfort in your infant's ears. Encourage them to suck on a pacifier or bottle during these times to help alleviate ear pressure.
      Traveling Alone:
If you are traveling alone with your infant, don't hesitate to ask flight attendants or other passengers for assistance when you need it.
      Jet Lag:
Be prepared for the possibility of jet lag, as crossing time zones can disrupt your baby's sleep schedule. Allow some time for adjustment after arriving in Singapore.
      Airport Facilities:
Check if the airports in both India and Singapore have baby-changing facilities, nursing rooms, and other amenities to make your journey more comfortable.
Remember that every child is different, and the key to a successful flight with an infant is preparation and flexibility. Be patient, and try to remain calm during the journey, as your baby will pick up on your emotions. Safe travels!
