Could you please tell me that when you apply to this scolarship, to show the financial need, do we have to use the fafsa form to show the income, or the income one year prior the application

For Gates is SAT and ACT scores optional?

I don't think they're optional seeing as how I had to submit my SAT score, and I only took it once.
