  • This video covers four permanent make up shading techniques and hand movements- Pendulum shading, whip shading, etching and circles and what treatments- brows, eyeliner or lips you would use them for. I show you the needle angle and also common mistakes that can lead to poor retention, patchy brows, bad brows and even scarring.
    I will cover what technique you will use for pixellated brows, dense eyeliner, lip lines and lip colour and what to do if you have fragile skin to work on. It's really important to have your needle and hand movements down before you work on clients.

      The demo is just to show the technique. Each person will differ. I generally don’t move forward until I have decent saturation. I try to do all my treatments in as few passes as possible. I definitely don’t wipe my brow shape off totally until there’s a clear brow visible 😁

    In these videos, What needle configuration are you using? And something I struggle with that maybe you can advise me on is when I am whip shading, I transition from one section to the next I get a overlap dark spot where I am not transitioning smoothly. I hope that makes sense. Any advice I greatly appreciate. Thank youâ˜źïž

    This is a marvellous video Katie
    Especially the circles as it’s just not spoken about now days. I’d love to see a video on just circles
 circles for brows and circles for eyeliner and their appropriate needles size. Even magnum circles. I find the smaller my circle (diluted) the better my brow fill. Using a 8rs. When I get larger circles I get patches, maybe my machine is too fast?
    No one is showing any of this but it’s what we need to see as alternative to whip.
    Fingers crossed and hello from the Gold Coast Qld Australia ❀

    One question I have is why would the needle be eating up the skin during my strokes ? It’s only on one brow that it happens. Could it be my positioning on the other brow and I’m going to deep? Thank you in advance !

    • @pmumentor
      @pmumentor  Pƙed rokem

      Angle or pressure if it happens on every client. Positioning yourself for hairstrokes can be tricky. I move around the bed a lot to maintain my angle. So glad you like the content. Are you in my Facebook group?

    Hi thank you for your help. How do you work on the scars on the brow with what needle and in what technique with a digital machine thank you so much.

    • @pmumentor
      @pmumentor  Pƙed 2 lety +1

      Hi there! Scar tissue is just a lot more unpredictable than normal skin but with brows you’re going to get scars crop up a lot. The skin can take pigment well but more often than not it doesn’t take it as well and may need extra saturation which is hard as it can be more fragile. Circles movement works well I find but you still might have to do more work on it. 😁

    • @pmumentor
      @pmumentor  Pƙed 2 lety

      I change it up. If I'm doing bottom liner I'll work along in a long line, doing the circles. If I'm filling in a larger space I will do it in sections like that. I prefer to get good saturation in one area before moving on with eyeliner and going back and forth and wiping constantly makes the eyes more sore.
