I was stuck in that Istanbul airport for 11 hours, probably the coolest airport to be stuck in though.

if you have a flight with a layover thats delayed just go to the gate and ask them to reroute you. If possible they will put you on another plane for free to another city with another connecting flight to sweden. I did this just last week. I got to my destination 3h later but better than flying to the layover and then having to deal with it.
