ASMR hasn’t hit the same in a while for me and as soon as you took the second cover off it was like my first time experiencing it all over again. crazy. i’d say no covers is the way to go for sure 😴
Megan here, long time listener, first time commenter. :) I think there are benefits to both! Depends on how breathy or raw you want your sound. The covers keep out a lot of breathiness and (either good or bad) make the sounds a bit flatter. I have seen a lot of Asmrtists do both in one video. You really lean into the clicky words so its cool to hear them with and without! Love your videos. We would be prolly be friends irl in an alt timeline. ✌️
I actually really love the way it sounds with both covers on! It's awesome to fall asleep to, as there isn't so much fluctuation in the sound? ig? idk if that's what's really happening or just how it sounds to me but with the covers on there aren't as many "sharp" sounds and the whole experience is more mellow. Personally, I find it easier to tune out individual words and just enjoy the noises that way (which, as mentioned, makes it easier for me to fall asleep to it). :)
I think the covers help with the excesive breathing sound and air coming out when whispering, thats not something i personally like. I would use some sort of protection for that. I always loved that recently your videos sounded sooo clean, no noise at all from outside or ground/mass noise. I wouldnt change much of the setup, but i understand your concern about covering the mics a little too much and not use their full capacity, so, I trust you will find the perfect balance as always 😊

This is the best type of asmr: rambling about something that makes my brain stop thinking, interwoven with sounds. For me, it's a perfect mix And I honestly appreciate any type of sound quality so I don't notice much difference (I listen without headphones), but it's great to see you passionate about it
I think the pile fabric covers would be better in my opinion. This video really calmed my fibro flare - ups today. I don't usually say that I have Fibromyalgia but it helped. BTW I might listen to this one again when I'm in bed. Goodnight PJ! 🌴🌠
