  • Hi Guys,
It's time to get to some TRUTH TELLING! Yes I said it because there is a lot of information about this out there that is misleading and this exercise has one of the greatest potentials for serious injury.
This time around, I'll show you some variations to what I consider to be the King of all exercises: The Squat.
Specifically I'm going to tell you what you should be thinking about and also feeling when you do these.
At Miami Muscle we teach: Muscle Activation = Muscle Reaction
So in Part 1 we are going to look at
    1) Hesitation Squats and
    2) Pause Squats.
Have you heard of these or done these before? Let me know below:
Squats are very effective if you know how to do them right, I'll teach you how to get a correct, personalized squat stance and how to maximize your results by squatting in different ways.
    Part 2 will be next.
As always, leave your comments below and let me know what you think, I read all of them and want to hear from you!
    Moji out!

I have been going to the gym for a few years now and have been doing squats with legs shoulder width apart. All this while my trainer has been telling me that my knees should not cross my toes. But I found it impossible to do that without the feeling that I was about to fall backwards losing my balance. Widening the stance really solved that problem. Thanks a ton. God bless you

    1. Don't rush to finish the rep/set
    2. Concentrate, focus and feel the muscle you are working on..
    3. Pretend you are squeezing a sponge by your heels.. Nice trick.
Best explanation by any youtube video. 💪🤘🤘

Just found you. Your videos are very well put together, delivered and most importantly they are informative. It is easy to get railroaded into thinking there is only one correct way to do an exercise but you have applied experience and common sense to break the mould. I've been thinking some of these things for some time but convinced myself I was wrong because every other so called professional is preaching the old school way to do a squat - thanks for this ;)

Dang that was good!!! This is the exact opposite of the advice given by the Olympia guys. It makes sense that your individual correct form and knee position with respect to toes, determines foot position. You always see the "pros" locking their knees and eventually getting injured (due to the crazy weights they use, and all of the momentum they use, rather than slow controlled movements).
