1つめのポイントでご紹介頂いた鉄機です。
以前、【気まぐれ添削130】で取り上げて頂けただけでなく、今回はリメイク後のイラストまでご紹介頂きありがとうございます！！とても嬉しいです！
あの添削を経て、絵の塗りに対する新たな視点が生まれ、結果としてより自分が描きたい方向性の絵柄に近付くことが出来ました。
「縁取り癖」や「同じ明度変化の連続」といったワードで課題点をあそこまで分かりやすく言語化して貰えなければ、自分はいつまで経ってもイラストの見栄えを損なっている原因に気付けず、今でもモヤモヤとしたまま時間を浪費していただろうなと思います。
重ね重ねにはなりますが、本当にありがとうございました！
そもそもメカやロボットしか描けなかった自分が、去年の春以降キャラクター絵をまともに描けるようになったきっかけも、先生の提唱されていた三ヵ月練習法を実践したからこそだったので、それも含めて感謝してもし切れません…！
紹介されていた他4つのポイントも含めて吸収し、これからより上達できるよう頑張っていきます！

1. Less is more. If you add too much detail in a drawing, it will have a hard texture, as if you were touching metal. A tip is to have blur effects to soften the image.

2. You don't have to draw things accurately and tediously. Saitou-sensei used a building as example. He only drew the silhouette and the windows but it already looked like a well-drawn building.

3. Divide the background into three parts: Foreground (in front of the character), midground (next to the character), background (far away and behind the character). Make sure the different parts overlap to express 3 dimensionality.

4. Add brightness when you draw a dark and heavy illustration. It's hard to see the focal point of the image if it is dark.

5. It's better to draw the background because it tells the story of your illustration much better. Without a background, the image could become uninteresting.

The buildings thing reminds me of something someone once told me:
| It's not about "drawing the detail" but about drawing "the effect of detail" |
It took me a while to understand it, but the part of the buildings in the dystopian future in this video explain that idea quite simply. Applying this idea is a completely different story tho XD

「書く」は、文字や文章、あるいは記号などを紙などに記すことを意味します。
「描く」は、「えがく」とも読み、絵や図などを表現することを意味します。
