  • Learn some easy tricks of the trade that will enable you to personalize the fit of your new frames from the comfort of home.
    For instance, “Adjusting and Positioning your New Glasses” can make your glasses fit like they were custom made for you. Our demo will focus on adjustments to correct the three most common problems:
    How to Fix Crooked Glasses - 4-point Alignment Is the Starting Point
    When you rest the glasses on a flat surface, both right side up and right side down, all four points meet.
    Now, what happens if there is a little wobble?
    To remedy, learn how to gently bend the temple on the end side where there is a gap.
    Most temple arms include a wire core which allows for minor adjustment. When they sit flat, right side up or upside down, you’re done. This alignment is ideal for those with perfectly symmetrical faces and ears.
    Also covered are easy instructions for those with one ear that is slightly lower or higher than the other.
    How to Fix Glasses for Glasses That Slide Down Your Nose and Face
    Learn how to safely increase the bend of the temple arms where they curve over the ear for a more secure fit? No more slipping.
    The Opposite of the Slipping Problem Is When the Angle of the Curve of the Temple Arms Is Too Short
    To remedy, we will demonstrate how to just modify the bend over the ear to lessen the curve and improve fit.
    How to Safely Make Nose Pad Adjustments
    If it feels like your glasses are sitting a little high or little low, a minor adjustment can do the trick. Also, if you purchased bifocals or progressive no-line lenses and would like to raise or lower the reading channel-a simple adjustment can fix that, too.
    This demo is designed to empower you to safely customize the fit of your glasses in as little as a few seconds, so you can enjoy and maintain a perfect, personalized, super-comfortable fit.

    Like other have said, this one is the best guide to at home adjustment. Two others I looked at never covered the 4 point alignment which is the basic starting point.

    Such a lifesaver I just got my glasses today and noticed how they just didn’t sit on my nose properly, and would cause indents in the nose making it uncomfortable. They would also slip down a bunch. I noticed my friend (who also has glasses) not needing to push them up every 5 seconds, which made me realize that the glasses don’t fit properly. So this really helped when making them sit better! Thank so much!!!

    My main problem was not addressed and there may not be a solution. I have a very thin bony bridge. Adjustments do not work. Oversized bridge pads do not work. I have sewn soft rubber cups over the pads, but that does not work. It works better than anything else, but still leaves a large red area that aches. Contact lenses are out of the question for me as my eyes are deep set, and I'm 78 years old and do not want the aggravation. So other than some sort of band over my head holding the glasses off my nose, I don't know what to do. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Don't do this. The only way I was able to bend the temples was getting the plastic so hot it whitened a bit. Unfortunately noticed that too late.

      @ReadingGlasses  Před 4 lety

      I apologize for the delay in replying to your inquiry, and I am sorry to hear of this problem with your nose pads. The nose pads should not be loose. Have you tried tightening them? We can mail you a set of replacement nose pads if you have a small screw driver to insert them with if they are needing to be replaced, or we can have you return the glasses to us to have the nose pads replaced. Please let me know which works best for you, and I would be more than happy to further assist you with this.

    • @ReadingGlasses

      Most temples are adjustable, but not all are. If the frame does not have a wire core temple the temple will not be adjustable unfortunately.

    My glasses are just too big. The glasses I have are adult glasses yet I am 14 and I don't think I have an adult face. When I got mine I knew I wouldn't wear them (I am autistic I hate wearing glasses because they NEVER fit) so I didn't care but now I cant see my own hand in front of my face and I am supposed to not see far away (I forget my long and short sighted) My problem is I can't afford new ones and its covid so I can't go to specsavers I just need any sort of way to get them to sit better on my face.

    • @ReadingGlasses
      @ReadingGlasses  Před 4 lety

      Thank you for your inquiry. Are you having an issue with the glasses sliding down your nose, or face? If so, most models have temples that are adjustable to fit more curved behind your ear so they are snug. What is the model you have now, and I can confirm if they are adjustable? I look forward to your reply. We can also be reached at 1-800-238-0904.

      I am sorry to hear your glasses are too big. Are you having a problem with them sliding down your nose/face? If so, our video will help with temple adjustments that can be done to help prevent this from happening. A simple adjustment of the temple arm to fit more curved behind your ear will help prevent them from sliding. However, if the glasses are just overall too big we do offer free returns, and exchanges within 30 days if you would like to return them. Please let us know if you need any further assistance. Have a great day.

    I was at a vision express store and i picked up myself a pair of sunglasses. So, i got 62mm lenses because 58s look like i stole glasses from a child on me. I didnt realise this while trying them on, but when i look down, they slip. When i walk, they shake.. and its not a very minor amount of movement, its significant enough to make me feel dizzy and i nearly fell once lol.. truth be told, i would have picked up cheaper glasses and more comfy ones, but i was presented with the opportunity of getting a better pair for cheaper and there was only three sizes, the biggest being the best. So i obviously dont want to bend them, is there any sort of temple modifications that make the glasses more snug? I dont want to damage my glasses, and i might even consider a neck string or smthfor them
