- Coate Water Railway - Episode 34 of Miniature Railway Britain!
A visit to this 7 1/4" gauge railway run by the North Wiltshire Model Engineering Society at Coate Water Park on the outskirts of Swindon in Wiltshire. We enjoy a trip on behind Quarry Hunslet "Linda".

Superb thank you
You're welcome! Thank you for watching!
What a fantastic little railway. Lines everywhere.
It's well worth a visit! It took me a while to get my head around the layout!
Thanks for taking us along.
You're welcome! Thank you for joining me!
Very nice video!! Like!
Thank you very much!
Not the best of days to be riding the trains with all that rain..We have drove the old line with our B1 (now sold) but we need to ride the new extension, this was planned for 2020 but never happened...Looks like a nice run for the Scot one day.
It wasn't the best day to visit, I was in the area to get 5619 at Swindon & Cricklade. I do plan to revisit this one again this year as I was very impressed with the railway.
great video! that looks very fun! a few years ago when i was not very smart i rode a real train, but not a passenger train. a freight train. it wasnt going very fast but now that i think about it that was a stupid idea. i was only on for about 15-20 seconds before it felt like it was getting faster.
Thank you! Sounds like an interesting idea! You must have got and unusual loco for haulage!
A wonderful miniature railway! Was a part of this in my youth, hoping to re-join them soon :)
Its certainly is a great miniature railway! Have fun with re-joining them! :)
Very impressive route through the woodland, a great layout where one could quite easily believe the journey had taken them many miles. Super film.
Thank you very much for watching! I did really enjoy how this journey seamed to go on and on yet the area the track takes up is quite small in the whole country park.
That’s excellent
Wow! Great fun
Thank you for watching and Merry Christmas!
What a railway! The labels really helped with such a complex layout
Thank you for watching! Glad to hear the labels were helpful.
Great watch Henry. Hopefully get to visit myself next year!
Glad you enjoyed it! Do visit them, great railway and the walk around the lake is nice to!
This is great,, We have some in the states most all private, none really close to me, there is a huge one way out west, I only see these on the internet.
This is one of the most exciting I've been to!
Another great video
Thank you very much! :)
This near. Where I live. In Swindon
Wonderful 👍
Thank you! :)
Awesome
Thank you! :)
That's quite a railway!
It certainly is!
Have had to watched the journey 3 times in order to draw out the track plan and then a forth time to check it.
@@andrewhurrell6690 Well done for the effort! If you want to check its correct have a look on their website, they have a trackplan and gradient profile!
Good morning. Would it be ok to put the link to this video on our Website and Facebook page?
Good morning Andrew ! Yes, feel free to!
to be honest Henry i have to ask you how it is that the train driver overcomes all that smoke from the funnel ? thank you again for another wonderful video....
Maybe its not as bad a it looks as they're setting out in the open? You're welcome, glad you enjoyed the video! Merry Christmas!
@@HenrysAdventures I am the driver and owner of Linda. On wet days like this one the steam looks far worse than it is.
@@flatronW22243S I enjoyed my trip behind Linda! Brilliant loco and railway and I must say very atmospheric in the rain!
I hope you haven’t traveled from a t4 area!?!
Tier 4 wasn't around back in October!!
