You’re right, 3.5” get flexibility to choose shell; 3.5” shell can’t be ejected from 3”.

I’m ready to get mine out this year!! Just shot it for the first time last weekend. Had to move up one shim was shooting a little lower than I liked. But this gun is smooth!
Brilliant! I need to get some more range time before seasons start here! I'd also like to play with the shims, see if another feels better than the standard flat. Keep me posted on how your behaves out in the field!
Awesome review!!! Looking at either buying an Affinity or an Affinity Elite. Just wondering how the cerakote holds up. That’s going to be my deciding factor whether the cerakote is great of if the camo dip will suffice. Thanks.
Thanks Robin! I’m confident either will be phenomenal as long as you take care of them. I can’t speak to how one directly compares to the other but have the opinion that if you punish one enough to damage it you will most likely damage the other. I’ll do an end of the season video on the firearm to show you how it held up to what I put it through (I’ve got a 4 no old so won’t be out as much as I like though..).
Just ordered this tonight, can't wait for it to arrive. First year for Turkey hunting here where I live and I was hoping to use this for Turkeys as well as Ducks and Geese. Anyone have any info on the best choke for Turkey ? Great video by the way.
Brilliant! I’ve loved it so far. I’ll be taking mine out for turkey this spring as well. I’m assuming you will be using lead with your turkey hunting? I can’t imagine the long range choke tube would be a bad choice. Take it out and put a few rounds through it to see what works best for you and let us know!

@@SigCross awesome! tell me what you think of the included chokes. I just used the long range choke on a turkey hunt and it smoked him! He was only about 20 yards though.

I can’t decide between this and the SBE3
I’ve never personally put my hands on an SBE3, but from what I understand they are phenomenal! Benelli, Franchi & Stoeger are all the same family so I can’t imagine you would be disappointed with any of them. If you are then you will most likely not like the other as well! 😅
I will say I love the larger charging handle and the bolt release of the AE3, but I have already bent the handle already.. Franchi did replace it free of charge though! So I’m a fan of customer service.

Bahaha! The SBE3 would have put you out a couple months! Let me know what you think of it when you get some range time in!
@@FromFieldtoTable absolutely I will, it shows up to my LGS on Thursday, I’m going to start the background process (love California’s gun laws) so I should see it in about two weeks
How’s you keratoke finish holding up. Trying to decide what finish to get
So far the finish is holding up. I baby it though and try not to get in situations that would scratch or damage it. I also clean & dry after every hunt. I’ll be doing an end of season update on all the gear giving more detailed thoughts on it all.

Cerakote is better than any dip you will encounter, including duracote and hydrodip.
Plus, dipped guns are trashy.
@@ThatOneOkie with my limited experience I’d have to agree! The barrel on my Franchi does get hotter than on my dipped Winchester SXP. Assuming that’s just the dipping insulating the metal.

I need to do a follow up video with more shooting under my belt. Absolutely love the shim kit they come with though! Spoiler alert I’m still a fan but definitely some things they could tweak but I’m not sure if that’s my fault, their fault or the shells fault…
My full choke is not for steel shot… i have the same gun
Did yours not come with the long range choke? It should be designed for steel
My extended chokes came with (Improved cylinder) (modified) and (full)……it says “No steel shot” on my full choke.
