  • Willy’s got ANOTHER awesome digitizing tutorial for you in this new Embroidery Hub episode, but this time, he’s showing you how to digitize for 3D puff embroidery on a cap. But that's not all because once he’s done with the digitizing, he’ll embroider the cap for you on the Ricoma MT-1501 in order to show you the entire process from start to finish.

    In this tutorial, Willy uses both Chroma Inspire and Chroma Luxe to show you how to digitize for 3D puff, so no matter what version you have, you can easily follow along. With Chroma Inspire, creating a design of this nature should take about 10-15 minutes. However, with Chroma Luxe, it could take as little as five minutes to digitize this design, thanks to Luxe’s wand tool.
    In addition, you’ll learn just how 3D puff digitizing works as well as plenty of tips on how to keep your digitizing clean and crisp within the software. Willy also explains why 3D puff requires a satin stitch and teaches you how to adjust your angle lines and split lines to make sure your stitches are going in the right direction.
    After showing you how to make your stitches start from center outward-a necessity for cap embroidery-Willy covers the following steps in detail: removing the underlay, adjusting push and pull compensation and adding a nap blocker. Once the digitization is complete, he takes this tutorial to the craft room to test his design, which we think came out great!

    • @kygoeken6075
      @kygoeken6075 Před rokem

      Push and pull is a way of thickening up a piece of artwork and adding overlap where there are split lines to prevent seeing the background or material behind the embroidery. Whatever the direction the stitches are going, if you add to the push/pull it will extend the length of the stitch thus covering the gaps I referred to. You can adjust it in increments of MM, or percentage.

    This is literally the only thing i dont like ricoma about. They give entre level software where you cant do simple stuff like convert complex fill to satin stitch. How do i follow tutorial when i dont have all the tools in a expensive machine package.

    • @ricomatv
      @ricomatv  Před 2 lety

      HI there, thanks so much for watching. Our embroidery machine packages include everything you need to get started. Other embroidery machine manufacturers typically don't include any form of digitizing software. For more complex designs, you will eventually need to upgrade your software to Plus or Luxe. We do offer financing to help with your upgrade. If you're interested in learning more, please click here > shop.ricoma.com/products/chroma?variant=31414905077878
