Ye no matter how great a musician u are,,, it always makes u the ultimate to get on with the mighty players,, instead of staying in your own cocoon all your life , believing you’ve mastered it,, like a lot of them out there, that’s what make the likes of this so special, so fucking talented these boy s , glorious, what makes it better is they all compliment each other,,, not just bloody listening to themselves like a lot do,,, 🇮🇪🇮🇪👏👏👏
MM has been my favorite musician for several years now and he's one of the few Celtic musicians I like. Hi s albums are just mind-blowing, the way he combines jazz chords with the traditional Irish flute style.
@@frederickquien3840 Way back, all flutes were wooden... hence the orchestral term "Woodwind" in recent times they've become more often metal with more and more keys and fingerings added
These guys.... together. Wow. I know life as a musician is tough but hearing you brightens my life. Keep adding beauty to the world.
In a world of "sound and fury and tales told by idiots", it's a godsend to have music of such noble beauty and rhythmic joy.
I couldn't have put it any better.

I only just discovered him a number of months back. Can't get enough. Check out 'Dónal Lunny & Michael McGoldrick - Lorg Lunny TG4'.
He has an own style, unique and marvellous... probably the best flute tradicional player...

Absolutely greatly played music and I love the joy they‘re sparkling
Great musicians! My favorite band.

I can't believe the gauge of strings that John Doyle uses - God alone knows how he plays them.

Anyone know what tuning the guitar player playing in ?
It's in standard tuning with low E dropped to D... Quite common in the folk world.
You're Welcome :)
Can I please know the name of the blowing instrument?
I play myself the tin whistle and the low whistle but that is like a flute...
It's called the Irish flute/wooden flute which shares the same fingering position of tin whistle/low whistle.
@@frederickquien3840 thanks a lot

Two left handers🙂
That's just incredible!
What an energy!
And, the first rune, isn't it an O'Carolan's tune?
Mike listened to Louise Mulcachy album:)?
ganainm124 I think it’s called Keane O’Hara not sure about who composed it!
Update - it is an O’Carolan! Played slightly differently here but I prefer it!
Which guy is which???
Michael McGoldrick on flute
John McCusker on violin.
John Doyle on guitar
I prefer the Michael Jefferson version.
All new instruments bought for , how easy it now for all. . Very terrible experience
