- Spring is here and that means it is time for the Jazz Age Sunday Social. It is an incredible event that happens in Dallas in March. After two year it was finally back and so I wanted to go all out for it. I wanted to make something that would stand out from the crowd. They have a best dressed completion and I have made it my life goal to win first. Sometimes I feel like the 1920s aesthetic is a little boring so I decided to take it back a few years to the late teens by pattern hacking two patterns together. I used the skirt, sleeves and cuffs from the Viola pattern and the blouse and collar is from the Armistice Blouse pattern

Absolutely wonderful. It looked perfect for the day - beautifully crisp and cool. And the matching checks…What a masterpiece! Made it so professional.
The handkerchiefs as collars and cuffs are great because a lot of ads from this 1918-1922 period that I've seen describe collars and cuffs like yours as being made of "handkerchief weight linen"
Edit: oh
5:11 😢
You did win in my heart! 🎉
I absolutely adore this style of dress. I've made the armistice blouse twice and don't plan on stopping any time soon 😂
This is what my grandmother used to wear ❤
Love the style of this dress beautiful. 😮
You were totally the best!
Adorable ensemble top to bottom.
This was so well made!! You won our hearts for sure!
The dress came out adorable...but you lost me sooo many times in the process 🤭. The blue outfit you had on was gorgeous!
what a beautiful dress. suits you great. congrats!
I'm loving that dress! You look sooo adorable!
What a lovely outfit 😍 You look great in it.
Love the outfit. I’m watching this video whilst hand sewing some bias tape to a 1930s inspired dress I have been putting off because of the stupid placket.
you won in my heart as well! this dress is amazing! and it's one of my favourite eras too!
Omg so stinking cute! I love this so much. Such a perfect spring outfit. You look amazing in it also.
I love the hat. Such a good shape, and it looks like you could remove the trim at any time and add something different, for versality. Anyway, I really appreciate hats on vintage clothing, because it was so much a part of so many eras' silhouettes, and it instantly ups the authenticity. Not to mention protection from the sun, and general cuteness. Also, your summer frock looks deliciously cool and swirly for dancing. 5 out of 5 stars!
I love all your humming and harring , its so relatable ..the dress turned out gorgeously.
Your dress was truly my favorite of the day. You get my vote as the cutest couple for sure!
Beautiful! You did such excellent work on this dress. It came out lovely, and (of course) the two of you are just to adorable! Good job! 🤩👏👏👏
It came out so pretty and perfect.👍👍
The dress looks amazing and you learned so much sewing it. It not always about winning or being placed but learning new skills and putting forward your best work. Then you are a winner already. I do a lot of hand sewing but watching you tube.
This turned out so incredibly beautiful and I love the double collar! Love the handkerchief idea for hems, but you can also make a 20s dickey/tucker where the corners of hankies turn out as lapels!
Also...I've been sewing in bars wrong this whole time
...😫 yours are so pretty and so obviously the right way lol
Absolutely adorable! The silhouette looks just right to me. The hat is superb. 👌 Great job.
I love watching you, it’s very real getting frustrated with things and not liking doing things. I absolutely loved that outfit and I’ve decided you won 🏆
Beautiful dress😍
That turned out very well. Thanks for sharing.
This looks super cute!
I give you first place. Such a stunningly lovely dress!
The dress turned out beautifully! 😍 This is the first video I've seen from you and I instantly subscribed ☺️
You are a star and so was the dress!
I absolutely LOVE your dress!!! I cant believe you didnt win!!
Most of the outfits worn by others weren't even 1920's! You should've won
don't say "ahhh" IN THE MIDDLE OF THE VIDEO, my gf was watching the video while i was asleep and the "ahhhh" scared the living shit out of me 🥰
I'm not trying to be rude but no one cares
You were robbed you should have won!
You didn’t get into the top 3? Either your competitors were more than amazing, or the judges were less than.
Please don't say stinking cute it sounds disgusting.
