Nicely done :)
I raced for cannondale in the 80s...great times..against John tomac....he was awesome...
My favorite cyclists to watch over the past 15 or so years - - - Sagan, Cancellara, Voight
Such smooth 👌
Windbreaker baby LETS GO!!!!
I think top level athletes call this being in the flow. A higher state of awareness and super reactions. Amazing!
That's the smoothest thing i ever watched
As a former MTB rider Peter Sagan knows how to bunny hop, wheelie and some other fun stuff! 🎉
Flying leap! Wow!
I'm a BMX / MTB rider and occasional road cyclist and dude... he could have DIED DIED if that didn't play out right. Fucking maniac, 10/10 respect
I hope you are not sarcastic, because a lot of BMX and MTB rider say in the comments: It´s lame, or easy, or, i did this as an 8 years old kid.......
@@dachecker79 It IS easier on a mountainbike, can't speak for BMX-ers 'cause I've never been one. But a road bike with drop bars puts a lot more weight over the front wheel. It's not an ideal position for bike control, but it gets a fair amount more power down to the pedals and makes a huge difference aerodynamically. That said I was doing things like this and far worse on a road bike in the late eighties in London traffic, being clipped in does help a lot to be honest.

Of course he won!
1 SAGAN Peter Cannondale
2 URÁN Rigoberto Omega Pharma - Quick-Step
3 NIBALI Vincenzo Astana Pro Team
Thanks for the Informations !
Of course he won*
I just can't comprehend being a spectator for these events. "Yup, they're still peddling"
Whoopdie do! I do this type of thing every time I ride. Hellerrr!
Since this close to me , will try and post the video for you to see 😂
Honestly, bro, every bike racer should be able to do that. It's just a simple bunny hop.
Granted, he's incredibly talented.
I just rediscovered a love for cycling. This video is satisfying to watch.
Thanks ! Have fun on your bike !
It didn't work, but cool to watch...all these guys are on a level most of us will never comprehend. BEASTS!!!!!!!!!
It’s “obvious” that Sagan has such skills, he’s been a Mountainbiker before.
"He was"
That's not a skill
@@janhe5814
Nah, I wanna see you on a road bike with a speed of approximately 40km/h doing that
@@fubukibuki--dai-35-gokuchi45 OK give me a road bike imma do it
@@janhe5814 looking for your youtube channel....
Its not much compared to mtb bunnyhops but damn at that speed its insane
Try it, hard af to bunnyhop a road bike. I can hop a mtb no problem, my road bike like 3 inches lol.
@@0xsergy Are you clipped in though? I'm actually horrible at bike handling, but even I can somewhat reliably clear normal curbs or potholes
came from reading windbreaker 🔥🔥🔥
What a mad lad
Who's here because of Wind Breaker
0:14 Here's a time stamp if you want to see it over and over again
Thanks ! ;-)
Legend.
Art in motion
Like A Boss !!! 👍
Awesome. I love risk takers just for the fuck of it.
That was a nice move to instantly open 20 bikes' distance from a fast approaching peloton, but since the other riders could not bunny hop that way, Sagan's trick didn't work out, and they had to go back to taking turns. You can see that Sagan waits for the other two and makes that sign with his arm "let's rotate".
It was a very smart move to do, instantly cutting a lot of road and thus saving energy that he later used in the final sprint, whereas Nibali and Uran wasted a bit of their to recover the gap created by that move.
Brilliant execution of a genius tactic. Sagan instantly opened up 6-8 bike lengths . He was smooth as glass transitioning from the road to traffic island!
he is going to be less tired for the sprint
Crazy guy 😄 but he's got mad skills 💪💪
Absolute Mad Lad
top 5 strats too risky for speedruns
Let's just say mountain bikers have to use more gray matter than road racers.
Thats not true, a road race isn't about fancy and aestethic tricks, but it doesn't means you don't use your brain and play a strategy, a road race it's all about optimizing energy and stamina, knowing your capabilities is fundamental. You use your brain by finding the optimal way of spending your physical resources.
@@brunorecalde7048 ...and that's why XC is the only Olympic-level MTB discipline, combining all the elements of a road race with most of the elements across the other MTB disciplines. You need to manage energy, you need to know how to ride in a group, you need to know how to climb and descend across all types of surface, you need to know how to do some amount of jumps and drops, and you need outstanding fitness across the board.

@@TheJofrica thanks!
^ must be a mountain biker.
@@FreakingRandomName Welcome! Haha and yeah actually
This is why he's the greatest sprinter of all time.

Mountain bikers: are we a joke to roadies or what
No, of course not ! "Roadies" are just more popular on television.....Tour de France, Giro d´Italia, Vuelta a Espana.....so on.
Wow, it's almost like he's a pro who's been doing this his whole life.
u can copy paste your comment under every damn sport highlight video u bitter worm :D
Gotta love Peter Sagan
You know the other's with him were thinking "F***ING SAGAN DOING HIS S**T AGAIN"!
... the others* (plural, no apostrophe)
This isn’t a joke:
Isn’t that cheating? That was a shortcut wasn’t it? Was that road part of the race?
It’s allowed because technically he is still on the road, within the boundaries
Lance armstrong once cut a whole corner in the tour. And that guy from teamsky ran without his bike.
Yeah. shortcut to injuries. worst scenario. death.
i can do that on my huffy
Peter Sagan is a true champion.
Without risk no victory..
