I ordered the RF-50D after watching your livestream, Works fine on AM and FM from my initial use. For the money it seems to be a nice pocket sized AM/FM radio.
nice unboxing Gilles, looks like that would make a good emergency radio to have during power outages etc. I have one similar but sadly does not have the earphone jack, which I find will increase battery life when listening thru earphones
Watching this now to see how it would compare to the discontinued classic Sony ICF-P26. Edit: Seems "not bad". Will be interesting to see what comes of the tests.
Antenna screw is external and labelled - it's deliberately designed to make antenna replacement easy. I think it's 'fat' because they know their market - older people who want a solid grip and a radio the same size as pocket radios of the 1970s.
It is misleading and false advertising for Panasonic to claim it is "digital tuning", should have made it PLL tuning with digital frequency display to make their claim more convincing.

Ihave it for 2 years now, one of the best small fm/am dsp radios.Its by far superior to Sony icf p 26 and p27.Nice video Gilles tnks
How do you know if it’s superior to the Sonys? Have you actually tried both? How is it better?
