Yep! Seems small, but these are really great things. Practically applied field intelligence! Where are you located Wozza? @@Wozza5004
Hahaha love it, I like the old shop and deliver, gets me walking around and I find it relaxing
🙂🤘🤘🤘
I loved this review being a previous support worker this reminds me of when I use to go grocery shopping for clients it’s like a little mission each grocery list I get 😂
100%, and in all fairness, a fair few clients are in the support required category, so this side hustle is helping those in need.
That tip to see the shopping list is a winner, I never knew that!
I fell picking up a (you guessed it) KFC order a few weeks ago and can't carry anything too heavy in right hand still atm, so checking the shopping list will help heaps!
Glad to share some tips to help ☺️🤘
Love your video Chris lots of tips and tricks for sure 😊
Theres always a little trick here... a little tip there :P
good stuff Chris , Thanks
You can get orders when you're outside of your zone. I've even got an offer to go to pickup an order that is well outside of my zone.
I had a 33 item
Shop
22 items of a particular item was part of the 33 😵💫easy money🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
I personally would never do shop and deliver orders. Great to see how it works. Great content 👍
Thats the beauty of gig work, we pick and choose what we want. Hopefully I show ok what its like
Yes absolutely. I felt the pain of that 90min order for $15 - that can ruin your day, but you picked yourself up and kept going strong! Respect @@chrisbooy
@@tallpoppysyndrome9578 That was $32 not $15.
These are REALLY interesting Chris and the tips/insights are of GREAT VALUE!!! I hope people realize that. You mentioned what the gov is planning about the gig economy on the chat with the guys in America, any more insight or credible rumours? Or where can I/we follow it? My concern is getting into this only to be burned and screwed by Canberra after a short time.
The Closing The Loopholes Bill is available to read now on the governments website (just google it and results should direct you). Its about 600 pages, and if it goes through, changes would start around June/July 2024
What do you think will be the changes? and if you think I'm trying to save a 600 page read, MATE!! your so right....@@chrisbooy
What's the gov planning
Hi Chris love your tips . How can you do delivery’s just for coles ?
Hey 😊
They are slowly rolling out Dasher Prefences across the country. When you open the Dasher app, at the bottom left of the map with all the zones will be a button that opens up preferences if its in your area... otherwise... its coming soon
why my door dash is not showing Km just i can see i time
Hey Chris not sure if you are aware so with DD you dont have to shop at the coles the app says to go to - other day i was parked at a coles - got a job to shop at another coles then drop off - to me to drive to other coles would be less time efficient as busier coles/parking etc so i just shopped at the one i was at then went to drop off... and red card worked etc i havent tried to see if can do same thing with uber yet tho but can with DD
I think Coles is onto this and don't like it. I wouldnt be surprised if theres a crack down on it in the future
@chrisbooy oh bugger - I only have done it the once coz yeah it was way silly going like past the house drop off to another coles then back to house.... like was way better going to the coles I was at then drop off - don't know why the order wasn't at that coles when way closer to the house drop off tho
But was surprised the card worked - I must say
But again haven't tried with uber if also would work - just know it did with DD
Cheers for the reply :)
When you do the multi app uber and doordash - you'll just decline all other orders that uber send thru except shop ones ? Coz uber you can't just select shop only like you can on doordash - hoping soon uber will let you choose packages/connect, shop n deliver or food - coz you can unselect shop and connect but can't un select restaurants- it'd be good so you're not declining 3 then goes off-line then gotta go back on - like if job comes thru you accept based on km/earnings/location rather than the delivery type
Uber does have the option now, you can set for shopping only (at least in my area it allows)
Hey Chris - do uber/dd on GC - was thinking of doing a working holiday on the sunny coast or toowoomba
Do i need to let uber know or will it just automatically work when im in those areas ?
Ive noticed on DD it shows me i can schedule dashes for sunny coast Brisbane ipswich and already but theres no Toowoomba
What area of sunny coast do you recommend ? Are your videos in the Buderim zone ?
Hopefully ill have the option to trial just shopping days (if uber enables that option only) and food/shopping days and see what goes best ?
Most of the sunny coast is pretty decent to drive in.
DD will let you drive different areas with no problems. Uber Eats, however will not. If you call Uber Eats to change your area, theres a risk you wont get a spot when you try to change it back to your home area. Most areas are close to full on Uber Eats right now so I wouldnt risk it
@chrisbooy gosh thanks so much for the heads up re ubereats and not changing city temporarily I didn't realise it would have an impact!
Hey buddy got a question for you, if you have shop and deliver off how can you get an order for Woolworths ?
Theres still 'click and collects' that can come through 🙂🤘
@@chrisbooy ohh thanks heaps :) keep up the good work. You have help out so much with you videos
Ever noticed a drop in order Cole’s shop and deliver in 2024 ever since Uber and DoorDash had jacked up their prices plus their 10% service fee customers are paying more for an order
I carry spare Cole’s bags in case they break 😉
Do dashers prefer big or small orders from Cole’s? I’m here because I use the service, always curious about it
small orders, or large orders that have multiples of items (eg... 30 items and 20 of them are tins of catfood)
What’s your acceptance rate doing all these challenges ? I’ve found with doordash, if your AR is under 50 you won’t get many orders but if it’s over 50 you will get orders. Mine is right on 50% atm not too good 😢
Currently Ive gone up to 70%. Normally I sit in the 60s... Over a year ago it was 90%+ because the pay was up
@@chrisbooy I dropped an order to a guy who says he dashes around coomera / oxenford during breakfast lunch and dinner and usually makes over $30~$35 per hour. He showed me his ratings and his acceptance rate and completion rate were both 100%. He said he accepts every order and is a top dasher ? 🤷♂️ sounded legit . I might just try scrapping Uber and menulog and go for top dasher . I struggle to make $25 hour multi apping and it’s hard work ?
Have you ever got top dasher ?
Did you cancel normal deliveries and only accept shopnand deliver or can you make the app only send you shop and deliver
When you log into the Dash app, on the bottom left of the main screen has a setting icon where you can select what offers you get (shopping or restaurants). Many areas have that setting now, some are still rolling it out. But if you have it, thats where it will be 🙂🤘
@@chrisbooy I'm in Victoria and don't have this option yet 😞
I could do Coles orders all day long but there are times a don't feel like doing restaurant runs and hate taking the hits to the AR.
@@goneincognito6275there is should be in the app because i living in Victoria too.
@@goneincognito6275 I'm in Melb CBD, and the option is there... I turned on both restaurant & coles order, but I never got any Coles order....
wow you nail it... in Victoria, yesterday a hot day, wearing shorts & thongs, today needs puffer jacket & umbrella.... LOL
Would you try doing a bike delivery?
Stay tuned ;) Its in talks
Hello Chris , I think I have found your doppelganger . The lead singer of the group ONE REPUBLIC .Michael in Melbourne do I win a door prize ???????
Haha how dare he steal my appearance 😜
Good luck with DnD
😜
You need to take into account your petrol .. wear and tear and not to mention, you have to pay tax on your income if it is a side hussle, so you already lose between 30-40% of anything your earn. Not worth it - someone is making money, definately not the driver
I did pull petrol out at the end, but when it comes to wear and tear its a more complex cookie, because I still have depreciation on my vehicle, and the other stuff I have a high business use percentage for australian tax to make it deductible. Not to say theres no further loss, but it is cushioned, and close to offset :)
$22 per hour for over 9 hours of work? You also forgot to deduct Car Rego, Car insurance, Car wear & tear, Phone costs etc.
You would also earn more working at Mcdonald's, at least Mcdonald's pay their workers Super, Sick pay, Long Service Leave, Holiday pay etc and your pay would be guaranteed.
Typical comment from someone who clearly has absolutely no idea on what a sole trader is and how tax deductions work🤦♂️ You also sound like a union member preaching your BS that will destroy and potentially see the end of Uber Doordash Menulog ETC in Australia. Be very careful what you wish for!
That's awful pay barely worth it for a 17y.o. on P's. Take out car wear & tare, petrol and no tax or superannuation. No one should do this false economy.
Hopefully Im showing some of the realism. Theres ripper days, average days, and not so great days. The consistency is pretty lose
@@chrisbooy Thank you for posting this it's good to see the reality
Not to mention that he did it on a SUNDAY which would be double pay for people working a casual job. And he needs to take tax out of that pay too. This is like the equivalent of working for $10/hr base pay
made $350 on average Sundays
Doordash coles orders pay a lot less than Uber eats .
Next shopping only vid, Ill have a mix of Uber and DD in there 😜🤘
Yeah I’ve received a few Uber shop orders for 30-40 items paying over $50. They took me less than an hour each
Thongs not a great look.
Haha definitely arnt 😜 Im glad someone noticed that reference
