    Margot was incredible. She communicated so much with her nonverbals throughout the movie that really made you feel her pain and guilt and shame.

    John Lithgow was also absolutely superb as Winston Churchill in The Crown. Loved the cast of this movie. Absolutely blown away by the transformation on Charlize... I did not even know it was her right up until the credits came up and had to cross check online. Brilliant film.

      I agree. Gretchen Carlson was the real hero with the courage to expose monster Ailes. Megyn Kelly stayed silent in order to further her Fox career. Money and a prime time slot outweighed integrity. She is an affront to sexually harassed women everywhere. By not reporting the abuse and exposing the monster, she enabled him to just keep demeaning and degrading women.

    Wow, what a magnificent contralto voice Charlize has! She has a perfectly positioned and delightful voice. I'm sure she had voice coaches who taught her to put on the beautiful voice that she naturally has.

    Roger Ailes sounds like a Narcissist - manipulating, grooming, lying, living in a fantasy in his own head. Charming, funny, charismatic. It's only in the patterns of behaviour that they eventually get found out. Narcissists refuse to take responsibility for their actions, they believe they're entitled to it all, they believe they're special. They never apologise for the hurt they cause others, (might fake an apology & use "but..." - if it'll helps them get what they want). Their behaviour is mostly inappropriate (unless they're faking a scenario to "look good"); & they're addicts to many things, they never change...

    The traits that Roger Ailies possesses are those of an abuser/predator...they are not gender specific. A predator/abuser is a predator/abuser. If Mr. Aillies were a woman, the behavior would be the same. Love the interview. Yes, more men are guilty of the behavior, but abuse is about control.

    Did they offer the project to a woman Director. Looking at the IMDB credits, not too many women in key positions but very traditional positions. Assistants - women, PC - woman, Costume Designer - woman,.. they didn't go out on a limb to find women in key positions.

    • @edgeworldpictures6831
      @edgeworldpictures6831 Před 4 lety +3

      @@011divine shows how little control women really have in Hollywood when a movie about women being sexually harassed and containing the high-profile Actors it does, can't get a woman grip employed. Unreal. Charlize's Production company produced this and she didn't think to get more women employed in technical positions. What happened to Frances McDormand's Inclusion Rider request to Hollywood? That's disappeared.

    Maybe john could have researched his character by talking to WOMEN from 40 years ago. We can presume he didn't sexually assault that guy 40 years ago. Trump always says xyz sexual assault men are "great guys". Its about PERSPECTIVE.

      If we just put blackhats on these sexual predator portrayals then we will never recognize them in real life. It doesn’t take away from their being dead wrong, guilty, and culpable. We end up saying, no...this is my colleague who was there for me ...he loves his wife, etc. IT IS ALWAYS COMPLEX

  • @vaskylark
    @vaskylark Před 4 lety +6

    What woman hasn't been sexually harrassed in the work place? There are no rules, and men and women have only been working together for a few short decades. What are the rules? I was harrassed at work when my boss asked me if my husband went down on me for Valentines Day. Instead of be traumatized I made an equally crude joke back at him where he was the butt of the joke and humiliated him in front of several men. Problem solved. I didn't get fired, my boss got the hint and I got respect for standing up to him. I think women need to get a backbone and stop being afraid to put men in their place instead of crying MeToo.

    • @Noah-rq3xt
      @Noah-rq3xt Před 4 lety +11

      not everyone will get the same reaction you did. some men get angry and assault you. or they're too scared to say anything coz they might get fired. your experience is not the same as everyone else. its weird as just a human being u cant see that?

    • @vaskylark
      @vaskylark Před 4 lety +2

      @@Noah-rq3xt Nonsense. Have you been sexually harrassed? I have and not just once. Are you even a woman? Do not bash me and my experience because I don't tote the MeToo line and play victim.

    • @vaskylark
      @vaskylark Před 4 lety +2

      @socal rocks I never said to "go with the flow" I said women need to grow a backbone and stand up to these creeps. That is a big difference in what you are saying. Any real feminist would agree with me too. As for Trump, there is zero proof of anything and the economy is soaring so he is likely to be reelected (he will have my vote). Stop being so gullible and spewing talking points like a parrot. Think for yourself or don't bother talking to me. You liberals love to play the blame game and get off on being victims. Look, I am a 5'11 leggy blonde/blue eyes who turned down jobs because I felt I was only getting the job because of my looks. I shouldn't have, but I did because I didn't want to get a job based on anything but my brains. That was in my 20's when I saw a fair share of sexual harassment. Had another boss literally hose me and a coworker down with water when I was wearing all white (hospital job). I had a nice long chat with him about his actions and me and coworker suddenly found ourselves promoted out of his division. I know more about this topic than you do and each time I didn't cower in fear, I didn't let it go, I confronted the creep and it worked! Ponder that before you spout victim nonsense at me.

    • @vaskylark
      @vaskylark Před 4 lety

      @John Tuya like I said I have been harrassed at work many times. Those were just two examples. I had my boss once drop his pants down to his ankles to show me a "bruise". He asked me to fly to Chicago with him. The guy harrassed not just women though, he harrassed men too, grabbing their crotches. It is a problem and it is everywhere which is why women have to fight back, hold their head up high and not be victims.
