When you remove that old lighting package, I know a guy who likes to restore old stuff like that.. Just sayin... 😂

I love these setup videos. I know it's a lot of work to post videos but I hope to see you guys post more regularly because I really do find the videos both entertaining and informative. Whatever other rides youg guys own or have access to please record the setups and upload. Thanks a million.

Very informative video. The narrator here clearly has a ton of experience and knowledge in this field. It would be great to see the lighting system re-design and installation in a future video!

Special spray, 😂 furniture polish... We use lemon scented pledge. I set up a dartron slide every week. It was interesting to see one different. By the way I love your videos man keep it up.

We used lemon pledge only on the first 2 humps.. I like your slide with the hinged possum belly doors.. our slide was a lot older with heavy duty plywood panels.. you are lucky with the fold down lollipop lights.. the older slides the drivers side lollipops were stored in the possum belly.. also I like how the top platform is hydraulic , our old slide the top platform folded under and had to be raised and assembled

Just subscribed to your channel love the content 👍👍I see that a lot of your rides are quite old and require a lot of hands on heavy lifting which I love , Here in the Uk a lot of the rides the travelling Showmen have are very modern and are mostly automotive set up with minimal lifting unlike the old days 👍Great vids very informative keep them coming 👍👍👍

Pledge is what we used for a Darton slide. It's been over 10 years so my memory may be foggy, but the issue was always rain and wild temperature fluctuations (i.e. going from cold overcast mornings to bright sunshine in afternoon). I've heard stories about various spray waxes, but have no experience. I think slides in general are pretty finicky, but they're certainly one of the most popular rides among the kids.

On your Farris wheel, the seats look like the ones on the Chance Sky Wheel because of the holes on them. Also this was a fun video you shared. I remember setting up and tearing down.

May I suggest you add some spring washers in between the nuts and flat washers.
It will add a bit of extra security.
As for when you do the lighting upgrade, have you thought about adding some batteries and an inverter?
Maybe not for running the hydraulics, but you could run the LED lights all night long easily.
I have a marine inverter / charger that I use as a backup power system for my computer.
It has mains AC power in, AC power out and a DC battery connection.
It can use the battery to generate AC power, if mains power is available it will use that and also recharge the battery.
If the mains power isn't sufficient for the AC load, it can use the battery to supplement it.
So in my case, I set the Mains AC input limit at 10 amps (220v Australia), the inverter can produce around 13 amps of power, so i can safely hook up and run 20 amps of power for as long as my batteries have charge.
And when load drops below 10 amps, say 8 amps, that spare power (2 amps in this case) will be used to recharge the battery.
Not trying to sell a specific product, hence not mentioning any brand names, but these systems can even be hooked together to increase power output and even to generate three phase power.
They won't make any sense for most of your rides, but for something that just needs some lights and maybe music then what's more considerate than batteries. Not to mention the ease of not needing to run a cable.
You might even get away with a small noisy gas generator working together with your batteries and inverter for setting up.

You seem to be happy not using those heaters, but there are non contact voltage detectors that can be used to determine the location of a wire break. Consumer grade ones are used to find the blown bulb on Christmas lights.

Seems like you show up to the sites early. Meaning before the other rides or attractions are there. Is that intentional to have more room to operate set up? And do you wait for others to leave the site before tear down?
