Old comment but also why i think badminton does not get as much love versus other sports. We often focus on the past instead of focusing on the present. Momota's world record of most titles in a year is hardly celebrated yet we look into past titles and a gazillion comments on every badminton video "LD is Goat" or "I miss LCW".

The best thing about this guy is.. The way he cut the court space.. To position himself at the perfect place to receive any shots.. His footwork to and movement to do that perfectly calculated.. I think any players if they perfecting this movement can challenge kento momota.. Thats his special abilities.. Perfecting the the footwork and movement to cut the space court and made it small for him.. Easy to defend and easy to attacking..
Excellent video, i want to see more of these kind of videos if Momota. Maybe you should include the trickshot he did against Shi Yuqi in asian games, but he didn't win the rally unfortunately

Honestly Momota and Axelsen are very lucky to be born later, they have no chance against prime Lin Dan and LCW. Taufik Hidayat and Peter Gade are also legends who could have been the best in any other era but they were unfortunate to meet Lin Dan and LCW. Well Taufik was better than LD in 2001-2005 but after 2006, it was all LD vs LCW. If they played in that era, I doubt Momota and Axelsen could even beat Gade.

Exactly, throughout the 2000-2010. There are several strong men’s single such as chen hong, chen jin, sony dwi kuncoro, lee hyun il, bao chunlai. I doubt they can managed to go to finals consecutively during that era.

@@GodofSports I really want to but I'm not on Instagram. I'm in 12th and have PCM so have to concentrate on studies. I used to play badminton 6 days a week in 11th but now that has reduced once every 3-4 weeks. I love badminton so it's been hard.

I don't follow badminton much but I used to watch LCW and Dan Lin. Is Kento better than LCW or Dan Lin at their primes? Or it can't be compared because there are changes in rules or equipment/shuttlecock that I don't know of?

His net plays and regularity is better than ld. LD USE TO jump smash a lot and extremly dynamic to do it. But basically momota would have beat lin dan 2008 in 2 sets
